Hey mate. You're doing a fabulous work on sharing details about Australian English. I'm Brazilian and I've chosen to live in Australia, so I want to be part of this team. Not saying everyone needs to sound like Australian, but everyone needs to respect these few unique things from this country. The language is one them. Kudos to you, matey!

Not a significant problem to pronounce all of these sounds for any russian speaker, i noticed among the audience some of them including me :) i watch your channel thoroughly, but the main problem is just to speak and keep in mind all of the appropriate phrases and figures of speech - sometimes English too complicated :), however your videos very positive - have been watching all of them since the very beginning ! Definitely you're going to tell us more ! Keep going ! Thank you !

You're welcome! :) Hmm...I'm Polish. :D I am currently learning German and Spanish...but English is a big passion of mine...love its accents, slang, differences and similarities between all the english speaking countries. So your channel is super useful! Thank you! :)

hah you are right...but also incredibly beautiful. :P Languages have always been a big part of my life. I started to study German at school and then years after...it came back to me, it's also useful for where I live now. Well...Spanish...I have always wanted to speak Spanish since I was a child. Maybe because of telenovelas. :D And what have driven you to make youtube videos teaching Aussie?

Though has to be the hardest for this native American English speaker. I can get literally every other pronunciation, but the "know/no, though, flow, bro" pronunciations are the absolute most difficult thing to do. I've literally spent 4 hours last night trying to even sound remotely close to authentic Aussie! Any tips?

Now I realize Australians say "thorough" with an ending /ʌ/ or "ah" sound. One of my English teacher back in high school was studied abroad in Australia. And now I finally know why I feel weird when I ask him how to pronounce those word. It is because the other teachers were studied in US/Canada or England. And they used to say /θ'ɚo/ with an ending /o/ or "oh" sound. This cause inconsistency in my childhood struggled to learn English.

"ough" occurs when someone doesn't know how to spell something, so they mash the keyboard without looking. Basically when dictionary writers reach the 36 hour sleep deprivation mark.

Hi Pete. It's very useful one. My last experience about the word "neighbour" spelling was pretty tough too. Though, it has the same letters O U G H but they are separated in GH and OU. How do you think, does construction GH always have difference as it sounds from as it is written in the words in English?
