After watching your videos, I immediately became a fan, and subscribed. Your very informative and detailed. You demonstrate a passion for RC and for your viewers and I appreciate it. I have definitely learned a few things especially on the Arrmas trucks. I was leaning towards Traxxas but after watching your videos i had to purchased an Arrma 4X4 Granite. Glad I did what an awesome looking truck. Traxxas make great products but they're expensive! Hopefully Arrma recognizes you and sends you some free goodies.Again thanks for the the videos they're so awesome. So please don't stop making them :) By the way, great driving skills. You make driving and bashing look so easy.

TraysComedy well I love Arrma but your wrong about something. I own a 8s Xmaxx and the truck is a beast. The 6s was terrible. The 8s is amazing. The only thing I had to do was upgrade the pinion and spur to gds (shattered both off a 30+ ft jump) and I bought it as a roller so I used Traxxas/castle motor but I used a max 6 esc. The Cush drive and truck itself is extremely strong and well designed. I love mine and most that own them do. This beast will go where no Kraton will with ease (ruts and terrain that would swallow a 1/8). I also geared it 18/50 with my esc and motor setup this is a sub 30lb truck doing actual 50mph and it will rip wheelies at any speed it is a sight to see. Anyways give it a try. I love my Senton 6s and V2 Talion though don’t get me wrong. They are indestructible. But if Traxxas ever did anything right it’s the Xmaxx truck ! I just figured I would share my experience if you are looking for bigger scale. The Losi xble sucks. The only other big scale I have is an old original Baja 5b but that thing is different entirely it’s got its niche.

Wonder what your temps would have been like in the grass. My outcast overheats in short grass with a 15T and 4S. The ESC just stops motion and the motor gets hot (160F+). I didn't hear beeping or see any flashing light or anything, but it's happened to me 4-5 times. I started with 16/50, then got a motor fan and a 15T pinion. The motor temp dropped 30F, but it still would stop on me during my second set of packs. Running at the skate park, it's fine pack after pack. On grass with longer WOT pulls, not so much. Kind of bummed, I liked the speed with 4S and 16T. It was also 84F outside the two days it overheated on me. Guess I'm just too used to nitro. Too hot, richen it a bit and rip it!
@AussieRCPlayground6 жыл бұрын
My guess is that it's your throttle control. If you've come from using nitro then you're probably bleeping the throttle too much. At least that's what I've seen with some nitro users who drive an electric RC, it's just bleep, bleep, bleep all the way down the straight. I actually had to tell one guy to stop or he'll cook his motor. If it's not that, then check your mesh and make sure it's not too tight. If that checks out, then take the pinion out and roll the car to see if anything is binding in the drivetrain. Aside from those things and without testing the car myself or seeing how you drive, I can't think of anything else.
@olds97lss6 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the tips. I've been driving electric for over a year and I think I'm pretty used to it. Been running nitro for almost 20 years, so yeah, I may have bad habits I didn't even take into account. I know I really miss the braking feel of nitro. I'll try to pay attention to see if I catch myself "blipping" the throttle. Everything else checks out fine. One caveat, I'm running 3.8" proline trenchers, which I think are 1oz heavier per tire than the stock tires on the outcast, 13.4oz vs 12.5oz. I weighed them on a USPS mail scale. That extra rotational mass is probably quite a bit over what the talion tires/wheels are. They appear to be very small and narrow.

while running my new kraton v4 on 6s with the robinson racing 16 tooth extra hard pinion I get up to 160 within the first 15 minutes. I was wondering if that is normal or not and also what can I do to fix it. I do live in southern cali where it is hot . I bash relatively hard, but not too extreme I see a lot of you guys bashing the kraton way harder than myself. Thanks buddy Great video,
@AussieRCPlayground5 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's about normal for these cars. If you start to go 180+ in temps, then it's time to gear down or ease up on the throttle a bit. Otherwise, you can install a fan on the motor, but that's up to you.

I'm curious if Arrma has refined the esc. I have the original Talion and it always seemed to act a little buggy with power delivery, never consistent. Thanks.
@AussieRCPlayground7 жыл бұрын
The ESC is completely different from the V1 cars, ARRMA updated that in the V2's. This one has no issues that I can report or heard of from anyone else. It's a re-branded Hobbywing, so you know it'll be solid.

This thing's impressive. It didn't grab me when I first saw the car, but now after following its journey with your reviews, I'm hooked. It's really good. Definitely a worthy contender as a next potential buggy purchase. Do you happen to know what viscosity shock oil and diff oil it uses?
@alexcast5487 жыл бұрын
This is not a buggy just a heads up its a truggy so longer and wider than the buggy maybe it was the low slung body and smaller looking tires that confused you but yea i got the V1 and even that one was good but in the diff's it comes with grease unless arma changed that but i doubt it and arrma shock weight i think its like around 50wt dont quote me on that
@richardcerni99967 жыл бұрын
Yes, sorry I may have used the word 'buggy' to loosely. I do mean the vehicle itself. Buggy or truggy was not confusing me - but thanks for the clarification.

@AussieRCPlayground7 жыл бұрын
+Timothée Liens Never shimmed a single diff in any of my ARRMA cars. I run these cars stock to find their weaknesses, if I shim the diffs or do any mods that enhance durability, then it’s not a fair test. That said, I’ve not had any issues with my diffs over the years, and that goes back to the V1 cars.
