I wish I had the dexterity in my hands like I used to do this boy I'd sure like to be able to have throttle control like you got. That is one reason I stick to bashing and my crawlers and dont get into racing is because of my hands and the nerve damage I don't have the fine control I used too before my injury but watching you finesse that throttle and then jumps gives me goosebumps. Awesome job, I can't wait to see the skate park video!

I know this is an old video, but I'm glad you posted it. I only run 4S on my ERBE and Savage Flux. I was thinking about picking up an outcast once the dust settles for hobbico/horizon and I didn't want to have to run 6S to have a good performing truck.

Outcast is a no brainer. Can't go wrong with its Ohh I saw the Nero. I like mine. Was just looking for a new video.

I find it the perfect combo with 4s on 16 tooth. Still have speed like the 6s batteries, just not top end, but not out of control and A LOT of fun. Doesn't get as hot as fast. I run the Kraton v5 on 6s stock gearing and the Notorious v4 on 4s 16th. And on both punch 4. Factory I guess.

Hey dude just wondering if you've done a washing / maintenance video. If not I'd like to see how you wash you Typhon after a day on the BMX track and you have dirt anywhere. Things to watch out for. I use a hose, air compressor and wd-40 but I've never had an RC before so I don't know if what I'm doing is right so I'd like to see how you wash your waterproof RC. Thanks.

You can't go wrong with either. The Kraton is more of a driver's truck, while the OutCast is just designed for fun. It really depends on what you want out of it. If you wants stunts, go the OutCast, but if you prefer something you can drive like a pro, then the Kraton might be better fitting.

Very impressive! Seems to run very powerful on 4S! What oil are you running on the center diff? Very close to picking up the Outcast, and would like to tune it as you have done here. Also, is it o.k to run the 16T for off-road use? Arrma seems to recommend against this on their website...

A bit too big for the Typhon, I think. These are MT tyres and on the Typhon which has very short arms, you may run into issues in the steering and roll-overs.

Aussie I need some advice mate, im torn between the outcast and kraton,im going to purchase it with 6s lipos as the small difference in 4s cost as a complete set at modlesport uk makes no sense not to. I also want to get my 7yr daughter a rc so any advice would be great. Good work on all your reviews mate you definitely know your stuff

Where will you be running your RCs? Open fields, BMX tracks, Skate parks, RC Race track, etc? And what sort of terrain; grass, gravel, sand, etc? For your daughter, get her a short course truck. SCTs offer a lot of protection from crashes and I know from experience that will come in handy. When my daughter drives my RCs, I usually increase my health cover premium. LOL. Depending on your budget, you can get anything from a brushed ARRMA Fury Mega to a Slash 4x4 or even the Senton. If she's new to the hobby, start small. The Fury Mega is great entry level truck, but you will need better tyres as the stock ones are really bad. Get her used to it and then you can either upgrade the power system or upgrade the truck once she grows tired of it. Hope that helps.

I've ordered the outcast with 6s lipo's also got 100,00wt oil for center diff,80wt oil for all shocks,tekno springs and some blue lock tite.... car and oils come tomorrow dnt think il get time to run till next weekend can't wait😁😁😁😁😁 .Any advice welcome as I'm a newbie

Great stuff!!! 500k in the center diff makes backflip on 4s easy. what do you have in the front and rear diff?And what oil is in the shocks again? (couldnt hear it in the video).

+Friso Fox Front and rear diffs are still stock. Shock oil is from Hobbyking, I used Trackstar 1300cst in the rear and 1200cst in the front. Hope that helps. Cheers.

So I have a quick question, Can I bash with the 16T pinion gear with my outcast 6s? As long as I only use the 4s lipo? I don't want to damage the truck and wonder if I can bash with the 16T on 4s power.

Yes, you can and you can also run it on 6S. I've ran mine on 6S a number of times without issue. Just keep an eye on temps, especially on hot days. Or install a fan on the motor. 😉

Powerpickle68 they are almost the same..some minor change on the knobs in the pattern..but way more sidewall height. those tires outperform the BL if you ask me

Yeah, I think it was either a 12 or 13T pinion. The 16T pinion is the optional one included in the box. Only thing you need to be mindful of is that running the 16T pinion can result in overheating electronics, so if you're using the truck on a hot day, be sure to take it easy and keep an eye on temps. It's not so much an issue during the colder months, but just stay vigilant anyway. If you don't want it too wild but still want a bit more speed, get a 14 or 15T pinion for a happy medium and you should be fine.

Can confirm this.. did 50-100m on 16t 4s only get that distance once or twice if I'm going for top speed before it will go into thermal protection .. probably a good thing haha ... Fyi it wasn't the motor getting hot it's the capacitors in the ESC atleast on my truck

+Jay Haze I see all your comments, don't worry, I just don't have time to reply to them all. For just outright fun, the OutCast wins, but if you prefer a car that you can race your friends with (as well as bash), then the Kraton is a better fit. Both cars are very similar, but once you have remote in hand, you will notice a difference. For me, the Kraton will most like remain stock as the setup of that is spot on and allows the car to be driven properly. The OutCast deserves a more aggressive setup to just go stupid with. I don't need it to drive like the Kraton or even be any sort of speed car, it just needs to be fun to drive and that's why I like it - it serves its purpose.
