Looks like it would be a tight squeeze but i wonder If you could move the shocks to the mount on the underside of the arms. That might eliminate the issue with them bottoming out too soon

Vas. Very nice to see HOBAO send you the update.. I am thinking they would not do that if they didn't believe in the truck and its improvements or you as a solid reviewer. And it's also great to see you take the review on with a proper open but not blind view. No wheelie bar sux. Programs card? Wow. Sweet if u don't have one! I sort of understand why they don't include brace. I did like the look of old body but did not like look of old wheels and tires.. These larger profile tires may have more roll but look more MT. Where does the extra weight come from??
@GamerNRetro8 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Always good to see an MT in the age of everyone wanting to do Truggys it seems. I cannot wait until Axial makes some huge 1/8 Monster Truck on the Yeti XL Frame.
@slawek7803038 жыл бұрын
Good detailed video-well done! The tyres are grippy, but I think they are too soft for the 6s. They will expand and get very narrow on higher speeds!

Great video 👍🏻 Truck looks awesome. 😀 Would of liked the brace included ........it doesn't make sense to go out and bash the truck to possibly kink the chassis to then buy and fit the brace ? But as you mentioned maybe the alloy is a stronger grade . Look forward to the bash vid 👍🏻

I just got this truck. My first electric. I owned a bunch of Nitro in the past. Can you do a video for the electronic set up on this one? Thanks in advance if you can.
@AussieRCPlayground8 жыл бұрын
Not a lot to set up. You can perhaps tune the ESC with the program card to suit your needs, but not much else. Oh, you will probably need to adjust camber and toe so that it drives straight, but if you've owned RCs in the past you may already know how to do that. Thanks. :)

Hey Vas great video love your channel. I just picked one of these up and absolutely love it. I was just wondering if your trucks esc came reversed out of the box. Recalibration didn't work, I had connect the yellow to orange and vise versa for it to go forward normally with throttle trigger. Thanks!

hi, I want to buy a 1/10 Mt brushless 4wd rtr which one do you recommend ? for bashing on grass dirt street and sand.
@DocWolph8 жыл бұрын
Seeing the chassis makes me wonder why it is not a full tub. It would be much more durable. and if you need to go deep into it for maintenance and mods, just prep for surgery. A lot of RTRs are seemingly designed to 1) be cheap as possible to produce and/or 2) appeal to RTR fans who don't want to really work on their truck when they need or want to.

Great video Vas, I'm interested to see how this one stands up, I'm having a great time with my original Mte I'm slowly changing some parts out for the new plus parts such as the bumper etc. I've already done a mod to the steering so it has a way better steering angle. Let's see how this holds up :)
@AussieRCPlayground8 жыл бұрын
Thanks. It has a few quirks that need attention, but you'll find out about them as I release the videos. It's definitely better than the Ofna version, but it's not quite right yet. I need to spend more time with it and do some tuning to see if I can get it where I want it to be. As far as performance goes. Stay tuned.

I know this is off topic.. but my front rc wheels aren't parallel. the left wheel is slightly bent outwards while the right is straight. If anyone can help, greatly appreciated :)
@adamgarber90638 жыл бұрын
Does your vehicle have adjustable turnbuckles in place of toe links? If so, It's likely they are in need of adjustment.
@HyperFragHD8 жыл бұрын
Bad Karma I did adjust the left turnbuckle, and now obviously the turnbuckle is longer than the right one. Also I noticed that that turning radius is better when moving the wheels right manually, compared to the left wheels.

Hey man I love your vids they are awesome I wish I could get as many rc cars as you i only have a traxxas rustler vxl and I love the hobby keep up the good work
@AussieRCPlayground8 жыл бұрын
Don't focus on what you don't have, focus on what you have. Not everyone in this hobby needs to have dozens of RCs to enjoy it. It might look cool to see all these RCs, but the maintenance required to keep them all running can sometimes get out of hand. plus, it's expensive. Take baby steps and I'm sure you'll get more RCs in the future when the time is right. Thanks for watching.

Ola, sorry I haven't answered you, but I haven't read Portuguese for a very long time and it's hard to understand what you're asking. I think you want to know if I can recommend a good value RC in Brazil? Is that right? I don't know what type of RC you want or how much you want to spend, so at this stage it's impossible to answer you. Look at something from ARRMA which is always good value. Or look at the HPI Savage XS... I don't know what's available in Brazil or how much things costs over there, so a lot of this decision making will have to be done by you. Sorry I can't be more helpful, but you've given me very limited information to answer you properly.

@AussieRCPlayground8 жыл бұрын
Well, the Slash 2WD has been reviewed by every man and his dog and I don't think I'll find anything with that truck that someone else hasn't already. Traxxas needs to update it for me to show any interest in it. Plus, it's a dated design and has been surpassed in quality and performance by many other brands.

I love your videos .. I've done a few videos of my own .. doing tutorials on all my upgraded rc cars and trucks.... I have question for .. hopefully you can answer my question ..I just took my hyper mt sport apart and adding all the upgrades that hobao makes .. they just manufactured what I think is new .. the outdrive shafts for the center brakes and diffs...they changed the screw down pin design..part # 94005n and 94040n. What design do you think is better.. I started to build the rear and center diff.. would have to take apart the complete rear and center diff to upgrade the outdrives .. in you opinion what's better .. sorry for the dumb question ! Thank you and keep bringing great videos!

@natemorte8 жыл бұрын
Like Jan said get a 10th scale. Anything smaller is limited to where you can drive it, because it gets stuck on every little bump ,and they tend to be made with cheap toy grade plastic that breaks easily. 1/10th is the way to go.

Well hopefully Ofna learn their lesson on cheapening up their Rc's. Not so many years ago Ofna had a great reputation for near "bullet proof" Rc's, I had a first release LX2E 1/8 buggy and it was indestructible. I beat the heck outta that buggy for years, but when it came time to replace it I bought another later version of the LX2E not realizing that Ofna had made changes and I was getting the same buggy as before. It turned out to be a nightmare from the get go. I don't know what changed exactly but I think they used a lesser grade of aluminum because the chassis only lasted a few weeks before I was ordering another chassis...long story short I sold off the Ofna after the 3rd chassis in less than a season....I was a real Ofna fan back in the day but they lost me because of cost cutting, if I remember correctly Ofna was bought out or maybe it was just new leadership I don't remember exactly but they ruin the brand.
@AussieRCPlayground8 жыл бұрын
Good thing this isn't "Ofna" anymore - it's HoBao. Ofna no longer exist.
@craigschofield648 жыл бұрын
+Aussie RC Playground That's right I remember now, Habao acquired the Ofna label....I couldn't remember for the life of me who it was...getting old stinks....lol I certainly hope that Hobao brings back the grandeur of the old Ofna. The Ofna used to be one of the top brands in the hobby.
@adamgarber90638 жыл бұрын
There is no more Ofna. Period. Ofna acted as a distributor for brands such as HoBao, Hong Noir, and I believe in some cases, Team C, But don't quote me on that. I'm not sure of the exact reason as to why Ofna ceased to exist, There was never a formal post on their website, And the only thing I have found was a facebook post stating they have closed down, However HoBao, from my understanding, Moved to online distribution, and are setting up somewhere in the states. Many Ofna vehicles if not all of them are just re-branded vehicles from the above stated brands.

What truck has the toughest differentials? Im thinking MT with the toughest please Tekno? HoBao? Colossus? Newest Xmaxx? I want a giant 8th scale or lil bigger like Xmaxx is what i was thinking or Cen Colossus...i.d.k. I know very different. I have a 6s Kraton v2 built up big Castle electronics and the differentials are the weak point for me. I might not be the best diff builder but im no novice. Im tired of rebuilding this trucks tho. Yes they are shimmed. Thanks. Long rant I know

I do understand your logic on bottoming out the shocks... But couldn't that happen to any RC? Even those with the chassis that bottom out first.. say you land on just 1 or 2 wheels on one side hard enough? If in the real world the truck doesn't have shock suspension issues I say who cares. It's no secret.. I love the ground clearance.
@DocWolph8 жыл бұрын
Its the issue with super jumps basher tend to favor. I'm a racer more and the not bottoming out is actually helpful to me since I won't have that moment of "dragging plate" on a hard landing.
