Absolutely love episodes like this. As an Asian Australian I'm always amused seeing people from other cultures try Asian foods and be in awe/disbelief. With that said, I'm glad to be on the other end, learning more about Māori culture! Would love to try sea urchin and karengo!

This was super interesting. and I like that you didn't go click-baity with it and do the like, "wild and crazy things Maoris eat!" so it'd be like, a spectacle or something. It was just genuine and friendly sharing of food! :) You should do some indigenous aussie foods next

When a big Maori man says calls out the amount of butter on that fry bread, where’s the ratio 😂 It’s the comparison of Paua to a dunlop tyre for me though 😂 A standing ovation for Buzz feed Oz for recognising the diverse culture of the Pacific and incorporating the bro Jordan into the mix giving a solid representation of Maori kai 😃

I used to be a regular at Cathys Kai. Yes they have it all and it's usually solid. I used to spend 100s of dollars in one hit there haha. The only one time I had a silent complaint about their stuff, they fixed it straight away without even remotely fussing about it. I straight up looked at it and went "wtf". They just looked at me and recognized something was wrong. I didn't even say a word to them and they asked me to bring it to them and they fixed it up.
