To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough, we just need to hold onto our hopes and wait to see how things turn out because market movements are almost always unpredictable. In my portfolio, I'm noticing more red than green.

Transfer of wealth usually occur during market crash, so the more stocks drop, the more I buy, in the meanwhile I'm just focused on making better investments and earning more as recession fear increases, apparently there are strategies to 3x gains in this present market cos I read of someone that pulled a profit of $350k within 6months, and it would really help if you could make a video covering these strategies

The best approach for surviving current recession and high inflation, in my opinion, is short-term trading as opposed to long-term trading. Although there are greater dangers involved, isn't the current market also risky? The majority of people who employ these tactics make significant profits.

Since the outbreak of 2020, which had a significant impact on the market, I've been running all of my investment decisions through an investment coach because their entire philosophy is centered around using a high-profit oriented blueprint while simultaneously going long and short, as well as reducing risk exposure as a hedge against inevitable downtrends. Under-performing is almost impossible when combined with their access to strange data and analysis.

1. if a company cant easily service their debt with existing cash flows run away from it unless you really truly understand them. 2. If figuring between 2 stocks compare the fundamentals. A business with great prospects but an astronomical p/e ratio is probably not as good a choice as a business with decent prospects and much lower p/e. Think about it. That astronomical p/e is basically built on hype. That hype might be valid or it might not be, but either way it is driving up the price and this diluting the potential gains. 3. When looking at a company step back and ask yourself is the sector looking at a bright future or a struggle. Factor that into your decisions. Mall based retail is a good example. Who in their right mind would invest in ANY mall based retail company at this point. That sector is declining and even the long term survivors of that decline will not be real winners so much as survivors. Big box retail is a different beast. 4. Think about a stock's exposure to the economy. A regional business vs a global has different risks. Global might have issues with exchange rates and supply chain issues. A regional business can be heavily impacted by a seemingly unrelated big business leaving the area. 5. Is a company in a sector that has had historical issues that have decimated the big name companies? Think chemical companies and pollution, or banks and credit derivatives. If you dont understand these companies well enough to be assured they are brewing another event consider avoiding them or diversifying across the sector so the bad apple is a smaller portion of the portfolio. Last but not least consider looking at the world differently. Ask yourself is a sector going to be a winner or a loser. If a sector is a winner why not buy a bit of all of it? Then you get a piece of all the good action and hopefully cover your losses in a few companies with the wins in many other companies. Or to put it another way avoid sectors that are going to be losers and diversify among winning sectors. None of know who will be the winners in 40 years. We do generally know that some markets will be ho hum steady performers, some will die off, and some will see some amazing growth and amazing failures within the sector.

I feel the bubble isn't completely popped just yet. I would not trust the media for info, I also would not trust the compony itself (marketing tends to polish up facts way too much) and even if you had access to company internal information, how would you be able to understand this info in a reasonable amount of time? 2) given the suggestion to buy when stocks are cheap and do it big, where would you take the money from? assuming you have most of your money bound in investments. would you wait to invest until the next big crash is happening and until then your money sits in your checking account, or would you rather invest borrowed money? excited to hear your take on this

A bit of truth is required here! Buying great businesses at a fair price was scalable under the Berkshire umbrella (25% compounded). Returns from the cigar butt method were amazing (31% compounded) in the Buffett Partnerships. That is better than the Berkshire returns by 5% per year (after 10 years you do 60% better and after 20 years 155% better with the cigar butt strategy as the effects of compounding at higher rates over time become huge) but you can not put $Billions into that strategy. So the cigar butt strategy is not inferior in any way until your pool of capital is too large for the strategy.

@@soniaorea2733 I always invested in passive income over the years and since the nature of my job does not allow me to follow the market closely I invested under a licensed Stock Broker Sandra Willis and her consistency is top notch. She is Regulated and also well known as she handles the capital of 100+ investors. I've made over $135k from my diversified portfolio strategy and I believe anyone can do it if you have this strategies.

7:40 The problem is that the absolute majority of retail investors simply don't have a circle of competence, me included. Scrolling through a few earnings reports during the weekend just ain't gonna beat the market full of professional traders with decades of experience. For those of us Warren Buffet has different advice: stick to broad index funds.

There are some extremely important observations here, all of which are simple common sense and therefore easily understood. It is amazing (and extremely disconcerting) that these common sense observations are so easily forgotten during periods of downturn.

Most important rule of thumb, do not PANIC! We have to understand the market cycles and sooner or later we will be on the bull run so use this time and embrace it to pick up high quality value plays like V, JNJ, PG, JPM, AAPL, MSFT… you get the point. This is a once and a lifetime opportunity for some to buy phenomenal stocks on sale!
@Duke_of_Prunes

I agree with your "do not panic" statement. I have been in the market for many years, so I can only imagine the panic younger investors feel. However, "Once in a lifetime" is probably not accurate. We have had 26 bear markets since 1929. Regardless, I agree that this is a massive opportunity -- so many discounted stocks!
