@f.t.67642 жыл бұрын
@@YouAreLiveIn321 a bait and switch movie is when it's marketed as something different than what it is direction and plot wise. It happened with brokeback mountain as well when it was promoted as a straight movie and, you guessed it, it was a bait and switch, the furthest from a straight movie. And Elvis has the same reputation for the past two weeks now, that's it's of that nature as well. Some commentators, redditors and articles say it's gonna have a twist where the side of the flawed selfish and song steeling from black artists and grooming 16year old Priscilla at the time Elvis will be portrayed in the movie. Cause lisa Marie in the promo interviews said it brought back generational trauma, so why would she say that if it's all positive and songs? So I'm curious, to the people that saw it already, is it like that or is it yet another movie that only idolises him one dimensionally? Cause we have enough movies doing this already.

@@f.t.6764 the movie shows his relationship with black artists and how he 'stole'/got inspired by their music, he does get idolized to a certain point ( you can't really avoid it if you're such an important part of the history of music) however they definitely show his flaws and humanize him! I think it was perfect!! They mentioned once that Priscilla was the 'teenage daughter' but other than that they don't really focus on the age gap, again though, their marriage definitely isn't idealized in the movie. It is definitely a phenomenal movie, Austin was absolutely phenomenal, and I strongly encourage you to check it out for yourself! It's one of the best movies I've watched the past years and by far my favourite biopic yet because it feels so realistic, raw and human and we went through so many emotions while watching the movie!!

I hope Austin adopts the little one who clearly bonded with him & vice versa! He’s a natural with animals too it seems. Great idea for the interview that helps animals be adopted. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

0:45 The puppies were fighting for Austin 😂 I just love this growth for him and this humble aura he has, I wish him success in his next journey. From Disney days/Carrie Diaries to Elvis and hopefully more great projects to come. Haven’t watched the movie yet but can’t wait to see it!

You will be amazed at his acting skills, not to mention his singing, dancing, speaking, mannerisms and his ability to cry on cue. He is also incredibly good looking and at 6’ is decently taller than everyone else on screen. He just does not look 31; such a young face.

I’ve seen Elvis twice so far (fan event and then regular theatre) and loved it so much. Made me both an Austin fan and an Elvis fan. Two amazing men. Incredible work by Austin and the entire cast and crew. Going to the theatre again tonight, happy official elvis theatrical release date!!! my favorite movie 💗
