Austin, once you get to the wild area you can go over to Hop and activate the little cut scene. Then once it is over go back into the station and travel back to Wedgehurst. There you will do the cut scene for Slowpoke pre dlc. After that cut scene you can go to Isle of Armor or Crown Tundra. Do not need to even go into the Wild Area.

The flag to enter DLC is entering the Wild Area for the first time. You actually can go back to Wedgehurst immediately after entering the wild area, you just can't go anywhere else by train and have to head to Wedgehurst to enter DLC

QUICKER START: Once you reach the wild area for the first time, talk to Sonia, then you can go back by using the yellow ticket booths in the station.encounter the slowpoke as normal. Then you can do the DLC. I’ve done it a lot.😅

Here’s the fastest way I’ve come up with yet: 1. go to den 59 (it’s over in the grove area) then save. Use a wishing piece and reset until you get the purple beam. Advance days until a female cottonee appears. 2. Go catch a male roselia. 3. Breed the roselia and the cottonee at the bridge field nursery until you have three prankster cottonee. All of them will know leech seed from the roselia. 4. Buy a substitute TR from the watt traders. (It’s fairly cheap and you should have enough watts from when you were resetting for cottonee). If none are selling substitute, approach any active raid den and advance the day to force them to reset their inventories. Teach substitute to one of the cottonee. 5. Get a Leppa berry from the nearby berry trees and give it to substitute cottonee. 6. Time to battle Peony. Start with one of the cottonee that doesn’t know substitute. Use Leech Seed then die. 7. Switch in substitute cottonee. Spam substitute until leech seed kills (you gain more hp from leech seed then you lose from substitute and hail). 8. When Peony’s second gets sent out, switch to a random fourth Pokémon (Roselia or the starter both work) and let them die. 9. Switch in the second cottonee without substitute. Use Leech Seed then die. 10. Repeat step 7 on second Pokémon. Can anyone else come up with a faster method?

You can go back to wedgehurst Station when you said there were wooloo on the tracks (5.26mins) ... you can go back to the station from the wild area you just can't go forward to any other areas. You can do this as soon as you enter the wild area. You have to click the green arrow on the track rather than talk to the dude. Hope this helps 😁

Quick update for those trying this - after attempting to catch regis with 3 badges, they’re all marked as “very strong Pokémon” meaning you cannot catch them. I was able to snag Kubfu and 20+ Dynamax Adventure Legends, though. Having a Kubfu for a normal play through just feels right 😃

In case you didn't know, you can go pretty far through the island of armor dlc before being roadblocked by lack of champion status as well, though in order to actually get Urshifu you need the water bike. (You can go all the way until you need Hop in order to search for the Max honey)

Austin, you don't have to go all the way to motostoke. Once you get the boxes from sonya, you can go back into the station and go back to wedgehurst. I just did that on a new playthrough too so that I could use some of the pokemon in the crown tundra on a new playthrough. If you do want the corviknight ride, you will need to go to motostoke though. I was able to get to the dynamax adventures without it.

For Multiple Account Users: You only need the box link from Sonia. Then you can immediately head back to Wedgehurst Station, but you WILL need to catch the Slowpoke in order to go to either the Crown Tundra or Isle of Armor. Once you're in the IoA, the Pokemon are relatively low levelled, then there's the Crown Tundra which is intended to be late/post game content.

I did this ran a japanese playthrough to grind for a ditto in the Raid Dens. It can be done with like 2 days if you play a few hours here and there also enabling fast text and disabling battle effects helps speed up the process..

You actually can go to the DLC right after having seen the wild area cutscene - so you make just one step into the wild area and then go back to the train station immediately. even though there are Woolos on the track, when you interact with the turnstile Wedgehurst will be an option.

U can get all the legendaries minus every task Pokémon (task 1-3) meaning calyrex the regis the birds and the trio from unova only legandary Pokémon u can catch are from the dynamax cave

Trick for Zygarde is to game the flaws in its abilities. Wide Guard or party wide defense buffs are needed. Debuff Z and wittle him down to just short of 50%. Then hammer it with DMax Ice attacks and the most powerful you can manage. Leapfrog the Power Construct range.

you actually only need to do the beginning cutscene for the wild area. after you talk to sonia and hop and get the option to explore the wild area, turn right back around and you can go to the dlc areas

I did the Pokémon jobs glitch. Put a ton in for all the high XP jobs go to a raid, invite friends, go home to system and change date a whole day. Quit the raid and go gather the Pokémon back with 20k-55k XP. So much easier to level up the Pokémon before going to tundra or the finals

Actually, I read that text and the train clerk says you can go back to Wedgehurst but you can't go to Motostoke, so you don't need to do the opening ceremony. Still did it because the fast travel is very useful in Crown Tundra once you trigger the Terrible Titan quest as the temple doors become fast travel points. ^_^

you can actually can get to the dlc before you get fly. as soon as you get to the wild area station just go back into the gates not talk to the guy and then the event with slowpoke can occur then u get access to dlc. but flying is pretty helpful so you should just do that

You can actually gain access to crown tundra a bit sooner, as long as you’ve been to the wild area you can go back to wedgehurst on the train and do it. You don’t have to fly there

you can use the date glitch to farm apricorns to make balls from. 1. Go to dyna tree hill 2. Trainer battle date glitch 3. Collect shiny spots 4. Pokemon battle and run 5. Repeat

FYI don’t need to go to motostoke at all if you don’t want, once you take the train to the wild area just go back in the station and approach the turnstiles, you can go back to wedgehurst. Talking to NPC will not present the option

The non-legendary that you can catch will listen to you. That means you can have a level 65 pre-Milo and you dont need all 8 badges for it to listen to you! This also means that the Max Raid's that you go into that has 1* will get OHKO'd, and the NPC trainer's pokemon level will actually match yours!

mons that are not in a max raid will not be catchable until you beat raihan, the game will prevent you from throwing a ball at all. this includes the regis and birds.

The minimum requirement to access the DLC is talking to Sonia in the Wild Area and getting the Box Link.

The Professor Oak Challenge is so much easier despite all the new mons available before Milo in both DLCs because the crown tundra added the dynite ore trader and she can give you EXP XL candies before milo which saves a boatload of time when levelling your mons up

Ok but something cool about this is that the raid dens are still your level. so you can get crown tundra pokemon in raid dens for playthroughs if you wanted to

I was actually gonna make a comment yesterday about this, I did this and found out that once you get to the crown tundra, lose to peony, go to the dynamax adventures catch a legendary (it will be obident to you and not sure why) and then fly through the rest of the base game to get the bike (with the ability to go through water) to get to the dragon/electric regi tomb

You just have to get to the Wild Area to access the DLC, you just turn around after getting the Pokémon Box Link from Sonia, hop on the train from the Meetup Spot and return to Wedgehurst.

You can get meet all 3 normal Regis. You probably can't catch them because they are in the normal game. Raid dens seem to ignore level caps at all points, they normally protect your level by limiting the stars. But even if you can catch them, you can't get to the last one until you get surf.
