I know this is going to sound repetitive but this guide is amazing! It's crucial for competitive and helpful for breeding and egg moves. I only had limited knowledge about this from prior guides of yours but when I get Ultra Moon for x-mas I know that this is going to really make a difference. Not only do you address the IVs and EVs but also you use a clear and concise step-by-step process to emphasize the process of training and obtaining pokemon with egg moves, HA etc. Thank you for all your work and I want you to know that guys like me appreciate your dedication! @@richardlaursen00 i just got it also, and i really love it, if there is ability to transport between ultra moon and sword / shield i will transfer the pokemon that you cant get in sword from ultra moon. Ultra moon is really fun and worth it, so much to explore and a lot of things to collect. And pokemon games never been multiplayer focused games, but still ultra moon will still have one of the longest online times because not everybody has ability to go switch.

This video was really helpful! Ever since I got the judge function back in Sun, I wanted to try making competitive pokemon. Thanks to this video, I was able to catch myself a 4 IV Imposter Ditto after about 34-36 chains (I lost count after 30). I'm currently using it and a destiny knot to breed a dratini that had 2 perfect IVs. Hoping to try and get Dittos 4 and one of Dratini's 2 passed onto a baby with the hidden ability!

Some extras: Use Synchronize Pokemon to catch Pokemon with the ideal nature from the get-go to save time. The Pokeball the Pokemon is in may also be an important consideration for some. There is a 50% chance of breeding down a certain pokeball if you are breeding two of the same type of mon in 2 different balls (Gen 7 only). For faster egg hatching, get Oval Charm from Professor Kukui, have a Flame Body or Magma Armor Pokemon in your party, and use Roto-Hatches. You can also put eggs in the Poke Pelago, add some beans, and your eggs will be ready to hatch by the time you get home from work the next day.

Once you understand the process, it’s very simple. All it takes is time and dedication, which I have for such an amazing game. Got my 5 IV ditto all I need is 4IV + bagon, adamant horsea with everstone and only dragon dance. Breed that offspring with everstone with my ditto and that’s all, plus a lot of time maybe 4 hours

Hey! If you want a competitive Mega Salamence, (which is indeed spectacular) I recommend using a member of the kommo-o line (the pseudo legend of the game) as an alternative to a horsea, seadra, or kingdra for dragon dance. You don’t have to bother with island scan trading or transfer to get it.

Nice guide! But just a tip, when you want to pass down egg moves w/ certain 'mons, you can just go to the move relearner (located @ Pokemon League pokemon center) to let it relearn the move you want it to pass down w/ a heart scale. & w/ nature breeding, you can just breed a bunch of Ralts or Abra (or any 'mons that knows Synchronize) with various natures. Use them at front of the party and you can catch that specified 'mon w/ the desired nature with the Synchro 'mon.

Once you max 252 evs each on two stats , you wont be able to get anymore evs, all the other stats will still increase as you levle up

It's not painful or horrible, it just takes a little bit of effort. People these days expect all of the best things in life to just be handed to them. If you want a good, competitive team, then you need to work for it, you need to sink some time into it, you don't get given them for free, that's what makes finally hatching your perfect Pokemon so satisfying.

very nice guide. i learn alot of specisics about how i can breed too. and i am a slow learner so i need alot of time to learn things properly. but i think there is one thing you forgot to mention. pokemon got their own category that decides what pokemon can breed. i think its importent players learn this too. its called egg groups if memory serves correctly. dragon pokemon are called "monster" ground pokemon like hippowdon is a "field" type, some may be "mineral" others may be "water". komala is another "field" type. and so komala and hippowdon can breed. wich i am currently doing now to get stockpile on hippowdon. and whoever is female is the type of pokemon you will get in a egg. this makes it alot easier to understand wich pokemon you can breed with in order to get your egg moves. if you dont have this concept understood. breeding can be very difficult to understand.
