@@stareater1870 TBH when I caught it I was actually looking for a Ralts to use against the fighting gym. I didn't find a Ralts until later after I created a hideaway, and stacked it with Psychic statues.

@@dermywermy080 I FOUND ONE. Nature wasn't to bad, but it had Hustle. Healed my team and was like, "let's just do one more pass through, just to see". Got a 2nd one with Serene Grace. Going to try to get both to Togetic and then bred for the nature and ability.

for the catching mechanics i figured out, that if u have a pokemon that is a higher level than the wild, it is easier, and if u the same or at least lower level it feels almost impossible and not worth it

The one thing ab BDSP that frustrated me is really still the whole pre-second gym situation. Heck even all the way into the game I'm almost at gym 8 and I've seen maybe 2-3 catchable fire types (Diamond) this entire time. You would think they could just throw a growlithe on one route (or underground) throw in maybe Cyndaquil early game underground to both do that "2 started wow!" thing they've been doing as well as to show off before Legends Arceus. I can't think of more atm but you get my sentiment.

If you grab a scyther from the underground that has wing attack he can easily solo the grass gym. Only had to hit the last pokemon twice.

About catch rate in Grand Underground: I'm pretty sure it's a lot more difficult if your pokemon's level is lower than the opponent.

After hours in the grand underground, I can tell you Elekid and many other Pokémon are not subject to one specific biome. I’ve seen Elekid in ground, rocky biomes, plain, even fire caves

Ever since I went underground thanks to getting the equipment, I caught myself a lvl18 Scyther and no joke, he helped me one shot every single gym since. Scyther wing attack is so overpowered it's not even funny! He's 50 now and helping me catch the legendaries.

The grand underground is alot of fun. Whenever I start another playthrough I'm going to run around the underground a ton between gyms. Atm I'm actually breeding my favorite Pokemon by catching them in the underground breeding em and leveling them up that way to get the moves I want from the evolution tree (they're all level 60 so....yeah....)

Tip: DONT USE THE THIEF TM YET. Wait until you can get a Butterfree which has Compound Eyes as an ability which increases the chance that a wild Pokémon will hold an item. That 5% chance jumps up to 20% and. Teach that Butterfree Thief and you have an item farmer. I use it to farm Heart Scales on those annoying Luvdisk. Also great for trying to find the evolution items on Magpy/Elekid. Also catch every Munchlax you see underground, 80% chance for Leftovers.

@@worms8703 i do actually the dusk stone can also be found in the underground but unlike the moonstone can be found in the little biomes I believe dusk stone is found in the bogsnuck (bogsunk) big biome as a ground pokeball item that you can pick up it can also be found in the galactic warehouse (so just progress through the story) and on victory road again just story progression

It is very frustrating how hard all of them are to catch at the beginning! It is nice though to pretty much have a full team before the 2nd gym. Also elekid can also be found in the whiteout cave, but you do unlock that later.

Yea. Houndoom didnt learn a fore move till lvl30. But you can get a ponyta in route 211 I think near the grass Gym. It helps.

I found the underground so amusing that I found myself grinding houndooms for 6 hours. Grinding houndoom is the best exp grind you can get. A level 40+ houndoom can give you around 1.5-2k exp, it has weak defenses so you can OHKO with Surf or something.
