I like the fact that you asked about the monthly maintainance charges because this kind of living set up can sometimes be a scam to milk home owners of ridiculous monthly maintainance charges. I might as well just buy a standalone home where I'm the only tenant and I handle my own business should any arise. Thanks for diversifying your videos to include Real Estate.

We are always bombarded with VLOGs showcasing Accra to entice the African Americans to come back home as they say but Austin, what you are showing us with this VLOG is that Nairobi is far more advanced than Accra Ghana. The real estate is much more affordable and much neater in the finish not just internally but the surrounding infrastructure like the community looks superior to Accra. Don't get me wrong I love Accra but it is insanely expensive for what you get. What you are showing is going to make me take a trip to Nairobi and check it out before committing to Accra. Thnkx

I'd advise that if you're hiring a house manager you pay her above the minimum wage which is kshs 10k. For an area such as Kileleshwa the amount you'd pay for a live-in house manager would be between Kshs 15- 20k for a family of 2. Be careful especially if you're an expat to follow the Labour laws when employing people. Also make sure you request for a certificate of good conduct. It's advisable to get one from a Domestic Workers Agency, they are usually very well trained and one can follow up incase something happens. Follow the law otherwise it can put you in real trouble. Trust me, you don't want to go to jail in Kenya. Also why not pay fair wages for a service.
