@@davidhall9932 What labeller do you use to print the stickers? those look much neater than my terrible hand written labels!

Very nice video, thanks David. One question, if I am not mistaking you connect the caravan solar parallel to your "Anderson" additional solar. Are the voltages of these panels equal and don't the two solar systems interfere with each other? Thanks!
@davidhall99322 жыл бұрын
Redarc told me as long as the panels are similar in voltage it won’t be a problem.

The panels need to be very close in open circuit voltage. If they are not, you will get a potential difference between the two sets and current will circulate rather than go in to charge. Effectively, you end up with less than either of the individual sets . I tried this once with a panel of 17v, other was 19 point something, poor output.@@davidhall9932

Hi David, in regards to packing up the solar and connecting back to the car, would ypu need to ensure your switch is off before leaving so that the car will charge the van? This would be important if this step wasn't done as there is potential to miss out on charge if switch was left ongor solar? Is that how this set up works?
@davidhall99322 жыл бұрын
Yes you do. I normally do it as s pack down job as we are leaving. We need all the Power we can get off grid.

@@davidhall9932 Just curious, what would happen if you forgot to switch it back? So you’d be sending a charge from your alternator to the solar input on the Manager 30, right? What impact would that have on it?
@davidhall99322 жыл бұрын
@@likeaversionlist not sure to be honest. I have never forgotten. I don’t know if it would just read it as solar input or not.
