The boxing day test achieved a record attendance of 80000 thousand on the first day, 59000 on the second and 40000 on the third day with around 20000 on the 4th and 5th day and you've got to keep in mind that the weather was very hot during that match. If cricket was truly a dying sport the 2019 ashes wouldn't have achieved better viewership in australia compared to the nrl and afl when the ashes was being played. The only thing I'd say is dying is the bbl but that's not due to a lost interest of cricket. The bbl actually made got a lot of people to be interested in cricket. The reason it's dying is because cricket australia is full of greedy assholes who only care about money and not the sport.

Cricket is one of the most watched and played sports here in Australia. We have football (Afl) in the winter then in the summer it’s Cricket and just cricket. The odi series can happen either in December or January. For Indian point of view you want the test series to be last, because there's a test series against England in the UAE after this.
