With the four contenders for the General Purpose Frigates, why is one the Spanish Alpha 3000 which is a corvette? Is this a blunder with the Alpha 5000 supposed to be in the four options mentioned. Why was not a light carrier considered with a good example being the South Korean DSME 30,000 ton ship which could carry 16 F-35b plus helicopters. Why isn’t old equipment like the Mk15 CIWS being replaced with the Searam system or the 21 cell RAM launcher version. The M2 12.7 mm machine guns should be replaced with the GAU-19 12.7mm Gatling gun. Should have canceled the Hunter class Frigates and simply went to Navantia and got the F-110 frigate instead. The nuke boat deal should be canned and replaced with the South Korean KSS3 batch 2 submarines which have a crew of 35-40 people instead of around 100 for a RN sub and 135 plus for a USN one. We could get 16 submarines with the same number of people roughly.
