You are right. This story is the most read on the BBC website which is global. Until now, I did not even know about Vincent or Gina but now I do. I took art as one of my core subjects and I understand that not everyone is going to like all forms of art and that is what art is about. Nonetheless all art should be celebrated otherwise we as a human race will become boring.

looking at the whole body of work I would not say it an exceptionally unflattering portrait, each one is characteristically flawed and simple, be it down the the artists skills or the subject itself. For one of the richest people in the country/world to be concerned with this representation is just a sign of those flaws and insecurities. It is just an image of a person made by another person, it does not define who you are, but here we are anyways.

@@kallekas8551 Have you actually seen his other "portraits" in the series? They are so poorly executed he has to write his subject's name on themso the viewer can realise who they are looking at. If the "artist" could actually execute a photo realistic portrait of a subject but chose to imitate the style of a sixth grader I might believe they were an artist. However, if the "artist" can only paint like an unskilled child but galleries put his "creations" on their walls because he is an Aboriginal then it shows the artist is a con-artist and the tax-payer funded arts scene is full of useful idiots.

Look up The Old Fisherman or any of his paintings during his realistic phase before Picasso mainly adopted cubism and surrealism.
