As an Aussie fan it was an absolute privilege to witness the revelation that was the WI second test performance. Shamar Joseph! Took the conditions in stride and just ripped through the Aussie batting. This is test cricket, the talent takes over and great players impose themselves on to the game. I look forward to the cricketing boards of Australia, England and India pulling their heads out of their collective asses and reforming the revenue allocations from events like world cups so that teams like WI can retain players in the test format. Limited overs cricket only serves to enhance the product, the beating heart of the game is the test match!!!!

But here's the thing, running any sport as a straight LLC is a criminal betrayal of the higher purpose of sport. The ACB , as custodians of the Australian game, have sold their souls chasing top dollar at the expense of the games long term health and wellbeing.

Players are taught to be silent and be subordinate to be in playing 11, which eventually reduce the moral confidence and ability to win the match irrespective of the skill. This has nothing to do with how others are respecting a team or worshipping team members as Indians do towards Kohli, dhoni etc irrespective of their tournament winning records are very less compared to English or Australian team players.
