@@gkk2215 it’s your opinion. I also thought that too long ago. Bcz for me nothing is better than Lara's shot making. But after seeing lot of cricket Seeing Sachin, Laxman, Kallis, Inzi, Javed, Yousuf, Ponting, Smith, Border, Zahir Abbas, Gower, Rohit, Kohli, Gavaskar, Mark wough, Sangakara, De silva, Jayawardena, Sehwag, Hayden, Gilchrist, De velliers,Barry Richards,Martin Crow, Williamson, Root,kevin peterson,Gordon greenidge, Sir Garry Sobers I can say that there is no one imapacted cricket more than Viv Richards. So for me Viv is way above everyone else.

@@faisalshawon1207certainly many agree as I am also big fan of viv Richard's but Viv could have done much better had he taken his batting seriously from mid 80's onwards .he was playing very recklessly in 1987 wc n getting out and even his test performances declined. The difference is king had good team n Lara had weak team.

Viv was a fading legend and was nervous about Brian. He tokd Lara on the UK tour that his own spot was getting tenuous and he wasnt sure about getting selected nuch more.

That just shows how stupid the selectors must have been. West Indies batting was never that good that both Brian and Viv couldn’t be accommodated.

Sachin and Lara both were great and Genius Batsmen as they scored Runs against tough Bowlers like Glen Mecgrath, Allan Donald, Shaun Pollack,Wasim,Waquar and Shane Warne. Sachin and Lara Certainly the great batsmen of all time. Those days were Golden days of Cricket as there was tough competition between Bat and Ball.

Viv was better coz he had much more team success and was also feared by the opposition teams probably more than Lara! By the way, the videos on the playlist on my channel might interest some people!

@@shezadm6300 With all due respect, Viv played in arguably the greatest team of all times. Lara had no support Batting-Wise apart from Chanderpaul. Even in bowling after the retirement of Walsh and Ambrose, West Indies was a one man show. Sir Viv never faced the best bowlers of his generation, Holding and Marshall played along side him. Lara played against some of the best bowlers ever in McGrath, Warne,the two WW's and much more. And majority of the time he came into bat when the team was already down to 2 without even 50 on the board. And then you look at his record. The 400, the 153, 227, 375, the style the class, the iconic BACKLIFT. Lara is BETTER.

Lara never faced Lilie , Hadlee , Thommo , Imran , Willis , Botham , Underwood , Bishan Singh , Qadir , Sarfraz. Pascue , Dymock , Walker. Viv dominated them without helmet helmet. We know what is Lara strike rate. In tests Lara is slightly ahead that too because test was played flat tracks during Lara's time. In ODIs Lara don't come even in top 10 where Viv is greatest odi batter of all time. As a West Indian I say after Sir Garfield Sobers , Sir Viv Richards is the best West Indian cricketer till date @@samizayn5666

@samizayn5666 Viv had no weaknesses. He faced and flayed Lillie, Thompson and every other fast bowler with no helmet. Whoever thinks Lara was better, never saw IVA Richards bat.
