Australian law states that all ingredients used in consumable products MUST be avalible for the sake of consumer choice, food allergies and medical reasons. They even specify how they must be written, listed, how to display and how easily avalible it is to find. It's a shame the US doesn't have something similar.

Yeah well, what do you expect? American health standards are so poor they don't take that stuff seriously, probably because they're using chemicals that would get them in trouble if they were forced to list them, America runs on being cheap and producing chemical garbage. It has no interest in being transparent about ingredients, even the medical sector seems to be all about pushing and making money from medication. It's an absolute disgrace but it's what America is about, profit and nothing else.

@@user-et6pj4db9s all businesses including takeaway, charities must provide some kind of information by FSANZ code regarding their ingredients (will range from a ingredients list, allergens, alternatives). But definitely fast food restaurants put their ingredients on their website to ease of use and to simplify packaging. It must be a list of all ingredients used and are ordered depending on weight or amount in the product.

yes Australians call chicken sandwiches chicken burgers. we refer to pretty much anything on a burger bun as a 'burger'. it'd only be a chicken sandwich if it were on regular bread. so when we say chicken burger we don't always mean like a ground up chicken pattie or a big chicken nugget like the mcchicken, we mean any other kind of chicken sandwich served on a burger bun as well like as Americans would typically call a 'chicken sandwich'. The only possible exception would be like roast or rotisserie chicken chopped up and then put onto a burger bun... that wouldn't be something you'd typically find in Australia... but we'd probably call that a sandwich despite the burger bun. Not sure why, but I think that'd be the case.

Just incase you're curious, yes... we did used to have Chicken Fries in Hungry Jack's. Unfortunately, it was one of those limited time exclusives. So yeah, I definitely missed them so dearly. I love Hungry Jack's. The primary school I went to down here in Tassie [Tasmania] was literally across the road from it and I used to go there when I have some money or for some dinner. I remember having a birthday party there as a kid and yes, they used to have paper crowns. OK, let's be real... I live in Launceston or what we like to nickname Launnie. Been living there for 2 decades now. I don't really go there as much now but I do tend to order a delivery from there occasionally. Also, my birthday parties are no longer interesting now as an adult. It feels so crazy that this was all nearly 2 decades ago. Being 25 makes me feel old now and my life was in shambles during my teenage and young adult years. I lost both my parents growing up too. Thankfully I am moving on and I'm calling 2024 the "Year of New Chapter". I am thinking about doing things that I used to do as a teenager, that being going out and walking at parks, reading and borrowing books from the library, checking out the museum and art gallery. I got a life ahead of me, I should focus on making me feel happy without staring at a screen. I might have to make my Weekends and Mondays a little more interesting. I can't blame you for the caramel to be really popular, it is MY FAVORITE FLAVOR!!!!

Here in America, we have a food brand in stores called 'Hungry Jack's' who does breakfast items like pancakes, waffles, syrup, & dinner items like Instant Mashed Potatoes. So I've been unsure if they're the same brand as the Australian Burger King with the name 'Hungry Jack's'.
@phunkmonkeycookiegarage7773
@phunkmonkeycookiegarage7773 3 ай бұрын
My understanding of the name 'Hungry Jacks' actually came from that pancake brand, "Hungry Jack". Which at least used to be owned by Pillsbury, if not, still is (not sure). Pillsbury also owned Burger King and when they hit a wall in Australia regarding their branding issue, they simply adapted the name Hungry Jacks from their breakfast branding (Hungry Jack) as they didn't sell their pancake brand in stores here, and they, of course, already owned that brand. So yup, you're spot on, and well done because not many make that connection :)

We now use actual pieces of onion ring in batter as opposed to the minced onion that's shaped and crumbed. It's honestly better imo when they're fresh. And Angry onions iirc have either cayenne pepper and/or added capsaicin in the batter. Not overly spicy but defs have a nice kick.

the grill master's change up their lineup every few years, originally the cheapest one was the bacon cheese and angus but that seems to have been replaced with the chicago grill master, and an angry angus with the angry onions was also a part of the line. Basically we got a ship of theseus sorta thing where the entire range has compltely changed from what it was a few years ago. (oh seems her one still has the original bacon and cheese) also the range has three major differences from the regular burgers: special buns, ergemont cheese rather than the normal one and 3rd Pound angus beef patties. So they're a lot bigger and more decadent overall, reflecting their higher price range. the cowboy angus has a pair of onion rings on it that's what sets it apart from the others in the range. (also we at least DID have the rodeo burger for a while not sure if it's something you cna still order though)

Truthfully our fast food workers here in Australia are usually kids. High school kids or university students working part time and living at home with mum and dad. If you go to a HJ's here (or McDonald's or KFC or whatever), chances are the only staff member over 21 will be the manager. Even though our adult minimum wage is a lot higher than the US, you can't survive on it as an entry-level employee. Maybe as a manager, but not as a kitchen hand or fast food cashier. That's why its mainly students who do the job, who don't have rent or household bills to pay.

There’s some errors showcased in this Aussie side. The ‘chips’ in the whiskey burgers are Angry Onions and the sauces are Mayo, Mustard and BBQ sauce. The cheese that’s in the plant-based whopper or Rebel, the former name, is the standard cheese that’s in every burger that isn’t the Vegan or Angus. Also, the Chicago, Cowboy and Pulled Pork Angus are Promo burgers however, Chicago and Cowboy have stayed on the menu, but the Pulled Pork will leave soon and replaced with another promo. However it can still stay due to demand. The Pulled Pork Angus has a special Spicy BBQ sauce instead of the regular Smoky BBQ sauce, but that runs out often so they have to change it with Smoky. You should’ve waited for the summer promos which are the Tropical and the Aussie Whoppers/JFCs. Also, there wasn’t a Royale shown If you were to have done it in 2018-19 there would’ve been the Mini’s, Chicken Fries, Tendercrisp, Extra-long Tendercrisp. 2019-20 there was Tendercrisp wraps. There’s also a handful of other unique promos that were done. Roadhouse Whopper, Carolina Whopper (coming back), Pulled Beef Angus, Chorizo Angus, Fiery Angus, The Big Jack which was mentioned, the original Grilled Chicken bun, Chicken Tenders, Chicken Bites, the OG Beer Battered Onion Rings, the Black Ops 3 Whopper, and a bunch more that I cannot remember

1:03 Correction; 'French Fries' and 'Chips' are two distinct cuts of fried potato. Fries are long and thin (and are often more crispy and golden on the outside), and Chips are shorter and thicker. I'm sure Australia has Fries *and* Chips, just as we do in NewZealand. For example, KFC serves Chips, whereas McDonalds serves Fries. Non-Americans often think it's just a matter of different terms for the same thing, but it is not. It's hard to tell from the video, but it looks like she does have Chips in front of her, so it may be Hungry Jacks' fault for labeling them as "Fries".
