So Jon, why the Sailfish did not take the bait at the boat as you were asking when you said "what are you waiting for?" is because they beat up bait and then eat them at their leisure. So he hit the lure and then waited for it to die but it did not and so he did not take it. They like easy meals.

Ian Fisher they have really hard mouths so unfortunately the hooks didn’t set. They also seem to be very smart and follow the lure without striking a lot of the time.. trolling gives them a lot more time to follow the lures and then they strike

Hey mate, might be an ignorant question but why do the gt appear to bleed from the gills when you lip hook them?

Leroy Addison that’s a good question mate and I think a lot of the time the fish hit the belly hooks and the tails hooks come around and hook under the throat or even the other way around.. Gts are the toughest fish around so large majority doesn’t seem to faze them. Hope that makes sense
