I bought a painting from this gallery by Malcolm Maloney Jagamarra, of 2 rainbow serpents, I believe back in 2004 or 06. I am an art teacher in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and I taught my students about Australian Aboriginal art. While researching images, I came upon the painting, and fell in love with it. It hangs in my bedroom, where I see the sun shine on it every morning. I was surprised to see a corner of this painting at the 2:23 mark. Either it's another one or it's the one I have owned and loved for many years. I hope that Janet, Malcolm and their relatives are happy, healthy and still making beautiful art.

Don't know who is responsible for the statements being made but the Aboriginal people had defined areas and boundaries within which they operated. Travelling into and making use of a neighbouring tribal area without permission was frought with danger and might invite penalty. They survived by observing long established systems of an intelligent and effective lore - rigidly enforced.
