A wonderful toy for grown up men. And equipped with the machine gun will surely be helpful in case of any trouble.

We tried this in the 1990s with the 6x6 Land Rover Infantry Mobility vehicle. When fully loaded for a long range patrol the thing was so heavy the chassis rail would bend.

thats why they picked a land cruiser and not a land rover

So without armor and before the driver or anyone else gets in with any stuff they might want to take. It weighs 4.25 tonnes!! Pretty heavy for a Land Cruiser.

One day the perentie and the g wagon will grow up and be a Landcruiser, Landcruisers would have made more sense if war broke out, more spares, aftermarket parts and mechanics plus thousands of vehicles you could have commandeered if you needed, typical ADF brass, couldn't buy a kebab without coming back with a bag of dog food.

actually its bloody easy to beat a toy-ota any day of the week. Why do you think toy-ota hold NO Military contracts with any counties armed forces. The only people that use them in any hostilities are terrorists as a "technical" and that nick name was coined because it was "technically" an armed vehicle (by some simpleton strapping a .50cal on to the tray), not because it was any good, but because it was cheap and nasty (read all its components are made in china), just like toy-ota. And then dumb shmucks swallow down all the marketing hype without checking what it is they are swallowing and then wonder why they have a nasty after taste in their mouth.

No armour, no electric turret, no casing collector and low clearance. Not sure who advised you boys on this but deployment experience seems to be by the by. Nice looking rig though.

The G wagon is a far better platform, lighter (all variants), easier to maintain, easier to mod, purpose built by design, not some ad hock nightmare. Hell even the JDF wont touch toy-ota.

@@harveysmith100 Nope, they use Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Komatsu, and the odd foreign made vehicle (Thales Australia for example). Why, because even the JSDF came to realise that toy otas are CRAP!

which one because a good number of them use land cruisers in some capacity? while very few use the g-wagen and the unimog is a much larger vehicle not meant for the same purpose.
