As a Latvian I hope the authorities investigate further. If it is true that this happened then the man should be locked away as to not only protect people but also to create a better image for Latvia and its sauna culture.

Paldies to both of you! Latvian language has such varied ways of saying things, no wonder why is difficult to learn, but still fascinating. Expect more questions in the future :D

@@gyro-j nah, thats a myth :) basic level is pretty straightforward compared to some other languages, sounds are neither too soft nor too hard. Only mastering it at high level is challenging cause of heavy (gendered) flexion and conjugation, also lack of learning materials and latvians talking to you in english isnt exactly helpful.

@@charlesdarwin3124 what I like is that the majority of words sound as they are written, much less intimidating for a beginner. Oh and the lack of learning materials is so true, the most known language learning apps don't have Latvian.
