Thank you for your great videos! As a Finn I find the concept of viensētnieks very familiar. Living in densely populated central parts of Europe, I often miss being viensētnieks and the population density of 18 per km2.

unfortunately disagreeing with common sense will always appeal to people who have been told theyre smart by their parents their whole life but realize compared to most people theyre average, ignore those comments (also it's spelled medieval)
@underedenxxКүн бұрын
Since you have gone out of your way to disparage and insult those with the human right and freedom to make this choice individually, I would very much like to read your detailed explanation of this common sense as it pertains to vaccination and social dehumanization of those who choose NOT to assimilate to western medical practices. I have commented my reasoning for choosing not to vaccinate above. I AM able to explain this reasoning and critical thinking to not vaccinate in much greater detail with peer reviewed studies of adverse events following vaccination across vaccines for all viruses where available. The entry level information I provided on the polio virus and mathematical probability of it progressing into poliomyelitis is enough for anyone with common sense to conclude perhaps it's not necessary.

Please do keep us updated on what you learn from the TV show. While spending one semester in Latvia, I learned in one of my classes that a fifth of adult men have a serious drinking problem. I once witnessed a man falling over into the grass drunk in the middle of the day in early spring, emergency services were called. I'm really wondering what can be done about this issue and also about why it is so prevalent in Latvia of all places.

Being a native (but infrequent) speaker I'm ashamed that I only got 15/20. I made that zin/zina error. My parents coming from Talsu novads, we swallowed a lot of syllables, particularly endings, in speech at home. Mistakes like "pagāšais" and "pieklaigs" sound quite natural to me, although I have learned that one does not write that way.

They tried this stuff in some areas of the USA. It doesn't work. If they want people to be healthier, they need good infrastructure, better working conditions, less life stress. If you have a poor economy, stressful working conditions, you likely won't be bothered to be worried about clean eating and exercise.

this is very fun and somewhat a good idea however it doesn’t seem like they’re considering medical issues surrounding sport. my dad is an unhealthy latvian (alcohol, smoking, eating etc) who doesn’t exercise much but i don’t drink, don’t smoke and eat healthy yet i have underlying medical conditions that make it difficult for me to do certain exercises. not accepting doctors notes for not doing sports is a bad idea.

As far as I remember "Gāja bojā" has a Livonian origin, not the other way around. In Livonian the word was "Pūoj" ("base, bottom"), so it was used in a sense, when someone drowned in the sea ("He went to the bottom (of the sea)") which we afterwards loaned literally into Latvian and from which we afterwards created verbs "Bojāt" and "Bojāties" (in a sense that something sank, therefore went bad.)
