I was sold the minute I saw the jacking holes on the side. I find videos like this to be quite helpful. Especially if you would like to eliminate the install workshop rates from ARB and the like. There is also a certain amount of satisfaction by doing the work yourself. Excellent videos

That is a sweet bumper. Wish I could find stuff like that for my old van. Instead I have to custom make everything. :)

Might be cheaper, but not sure I want to be chopping up my panels... lost me on this product... thanks for the detail, it made my decision much easier.
@austimages5 жыл бұрын
You don't cut any panels, just the plastic rear bumper. Every brand of rear bar for the 200-series requires the bumper to be cut. The only (sort-of) exception is if you don't replace the bar itself, but install the Kaymar wheel carriers on their own.

Create a video on how to install arb air lockers , roof DVD player ,aeroracks, and light on top of the vehicle especially lights under the vehicle behind the wheel
@austimages5 жыл бұрын
I think you're out of luck with most of that. No plans for any of them except, maybe, for a set of lockers. But I won't install them myself, I'll have them installed.

I agree that the handles (for the spare wheels) are conveniently located. Also elegant way of dealing with the 'old' reflector assembly holes. But isn't there a risk that a (even minor) tailgating accident bends the mechanism, and you cannot open wheels, ultimately cannot open tailgate anymore? Also, how often need the gas struts replacing?
@austimages6 жыл бұрын
It would have to be a pretty severe impact to damage the carriers enough that they wouldn't open. They swivel from 45mm stub axles, which are welded right through the channel of the bar. I suppose an accident could damage the latching mechanism, but then they would be more likely to not stay closed, rather than be stuck closed. I can't tell you how often you'd need to replace the gas struts. Mine are 4 years old now, and still working as-new.

Hi Jamie, love the videos. I’m wanting to install an LED light fitting in the small blanking plate at the bottom up the upper tailgate door. I’m using this video to help me remove panels for running power wiring. You run power and show the removal of the lower internal trim panel in the cargo bay. Can you help with instructions for removing the trim from this panel up to the top of the tailgate door?

Hi Jamie - just one critism - you dont show the rear of the car with bumper removed - always cut away too early, i wanted to see what under the bumper :)

Great job ! Been seeking a video on line showing how to remove the rear light and indicator clusters (in the rear wings not the ones in the tailgate). Cant find it anywhere on here - any ideas please ? I removed the two 6m bolts and manage to wiggle the top part free but not the bottom and I don't want to force it (maybe you have to actually also remove the rear valance ?). Any ideas welcome 🙂
@austimages3 жыл бұрын
You're on the right track. Remove the two bolts, then wiggle and pull the light cluster directly backwards off the car. There are two metal pins (1x upper and 1x lower) that engage into plastic spring clips towards the outer edge of the light. Sometimes they hold on a little better than you'd expect.

Can you put 35's on your 200 series with out mods?
@austimages6 жыл бұрын
Not without minor mods... You need to relocate the front KDSS brackets. Depending on wheels, the UCAs might rub too.

Would you still choose this bar over kaymar or raslarr?
@austimages2 жыл бұрын
For the 200-series, yes for sure. Raslarr would be my 2nd choice, then Kaymar. Main thing I don't like about the Kaymar for the 200 is the separate carrier setup. Their other bars that run the carriers directly on the bar is the way I prefer them, but they didn't do that for the 200.
