Watch and listen to Federer. The grunt and screams are largely psychological and are tiring as a fan. I hear it in sometimes in world badminton, not so much in squash. The beauty of KZbin is I can turn of the sound.

I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics. Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. Appointing "flag police" at the AO 2023 was not even childish... it was embarrassing and insane... Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq. Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them. Interestingly enough Israeli tennis players Mika Buchnik and Guy Sasson are allowed to play under the national flag in AO 2024 despite the policy of their government towards Palestinians in Gaza. * All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.

Apparently, this is not about wars. FYI, Republic of Belarus does not participate in any war, neither formally, nor by supplying weapons and/or ammunition to any of the fighting countries. In contrast to many others. The globalism screwed up big time. It appeared incapable of handling simple things, like sports. Not mentioning anything more sophisticated. This is a fact. The globalism will be turned off within the next 3-5 years, if not earlier. I think, that after the world is eventually divided into a number of macroregions, each of these macroregions would convey it's own championships in every sporting discipline. This is where it goes to.

Sabalenka is way over robust physically as a female tennis player. Zheng is in an inferior position in this aspect. Plus, Sabalenka's grunting while hitting the ball was quite annoying to both the audience and her opponent. It might compose an unfair competition.
