You can use function viewer, If you're on the main page (diagnostics, sevice,setting,etc.) slide to the 2nd or 3rd screen and you will see an app called function viewer, select your vehicle and it will tell you what is possible using your specific autel scanner.

Hi, im just want to ask if the Autel MS906 has a OBD1 adapter for Mazda 17 pin? And if it work for asian version vehicles specially in the philippines the MS906? Thanks

Its does not have a mazda OBD 1 connector but it does work with asian vehicles as long as they are 1996 or newer.

Hey, I'm looking at the MS906BT and the MS906TS. I'm more interested in the TS but I was wondering if it has the option for ADAS in it? It says no on the Autel website, the website states that the BT is the one out of the two with ADAS options, but I figured you'd know since you own the tool... thanks in advance. Also, can you copy a PCM/ECU from the one that came with the vehicle to one out of another vehicle? I need to copy a PCM from a silverado over to another PCM so i can copy the VIN.

I have the 906bt, and you can not do the normal coding or programming of new parts or modules like headlight control switch or climate control modules with these. You have to get a pass through device and install the GM program on a computer and pay GM 55$ for a 2 day subscription. Yeah it's a great scanner with a lot of bidirectional control functions, but you can forget about programming any new part (module) that you replace on GM cars. I was able to program a new headlight switch for a 2014 Jag, and it will probably do that for most foreign cars, including dodge, and maybe Ford, but it will be limited.

Yes, it is hit and miss on what modules it can code.

@@737mechanic What I'm saying is that you can not do any coding or programming on GM vehicles at all. That includes Buick/chevy/cadillac. I can see from your video that you can not do any coding for your camaro. After you put in the vin it only gives you 2 choices....auto scan or manual for diagnostics. There would be a programming new parts or module choice if it was possible. If you go to manual and select BCM or HVAV, and then go to special functions, then there would be a choice to code or program new part.s...but there isn't.

@@MRM-wp4gr Although you are correct for the most part you can configure new airbag modules on many GM vehicles and depending on the year, make and model you can swap in a used computer without any configuration/coding or programming needed as long as the vehicle it came out of was configured with the same equipment.

@@737mechanic Well at least that's something... Launch is the same way....no GM coding or programming of new parts. GM is a giant POS for not allowing these functions on scanners IMO! Another good reason to buy foreign cars!

Yes, it will tell you Air Fuel Ratio at any throttle position.

There are different tests depending on make and model. I would need to hook it to a jeep and see if it has an idle increase.

@@fishbreeder9743 I went into the PPS menu and the only option was trouble codes but when I went into the SRS menu it had calibrate SDM module so I think that is the module you are talking about if not then I don't guess it will.

Does this scan tool allow you to turn off DRL or change the value in the tpms for the psi you want it to alert you at? For someone who airs down their tires but doesnt want be alerted at the factory setting? If so, I'm sold! Moving on from my current scan tool soon

It will change some makes and models TPMS values and it also allows you to change tire sizes on some makes and models but it is only factory tire sizes. I have not seen any DRL disable option so I doubt it will allow that. What make and model are you talking about and I will try to check to see what options it has.

I am sure it can but I do not know for sure, I just finished posting a video that I did a walkthrough on a 2001 Lexus CT200H which is Lexus's version of the Prius where I show all the active test and special functions it has for that year.

I think Autel makes the Zurich brand for Harbor Freight but can't say for sure. I am not sure if the Zurich uses the same software or not but if it was me I would go with Autel. You can get the MS906BT on Amazon for $1099.00 and free shipping. If Harbor Freight ever stop supporting the Zurich I am not sure if you would be able to get updates for it.

That’s a very good point about HF dropping the tool line. What’s your thoughts on these compared to the Launch x431 V+ which seems to be very comparable?

A-1 Heat & Air Conditioning I have never used a launch but from what I have seen they look very good and I would love to give one try if I ever get my hands on one. They are definitely worth a look.

@@737mechanic thank you. but was wondering if the scan tool had immo functions and for the more advanced proximity keys...loved the video..i cant decide on what one too get the DS 808....MS 906 .....MS 908... gots a faster processor in it but no sure i really care for the few extra seconds it saves.
