IM608 Pro | How To Do All Keys Lost On A Volkswagen Jetta 2014

In this video, I'll be showing you how to do ALL KEYS lost on 2014 VW Jetta using Autel IM608 PRO.
This is a complex process that I simplified and can be done in just 35 minutes with the help of the Autel IM608 PRO scanner.

Curtis. sense you covered this for free. Which I'll say first, ty for that. Having used other similar softwares that allow for a much easier process on these vehicles. Like that of the zedful programmer which allows for a much easier faster and safer process of just pogo sticking the board on a certain spot. I can't help but to feel this to be a very lack luster method. To get to this eeprom chip you will have to completely disassemble the cluster of the vehicle not just the back but you will have to fully release the face of the tachometer. For these particular vehicles you have to remove the clusters needles or dials. Not only can this be a risk of damaging the dials and synchronization of these dials. But then, there is also the risk of something going wrong with the eeprom flashing. I dug a little deeper. and I've found that there is a method similar that autel supports using the Gbox and connecting directly to the back of the board. and then grounding/pogoing the certain spot per cluster type. I feel you should update this for the other users that haven't done this digging. This can be a very risky method in my opinion.

Hey my friend. I hope you doing well. I have clients that I sell to directly that gain access to my engineers and my 1 on 1 training. So they will have access to new techniques and procedures that autel will consult me on. The video training that I publish on my channel costs me about 700 to 800 USD to produce, and I get nothing out of it. The only reason why I do this is because I know the vendors that sell the tool do not offer any training to their customers and it's also for my clients to understand how to do certain procedures without booking a training session with me if they choose not to. Remember, I don't work for the vendors who sold you the tool. My main priority is the clients whom I sold to directly. If I have the time and budget I will produce a training video but it's not something that I have to do. In the same way you are encouraging me to make more training updated videos, I think we should as a community start to get the vendors to create training videos for their customers and take responsibility for their customer results. Think about it, look at how long it took for you to find out this alternative approach and all the risks involved in trying to get the right information. Wouldn't it have been beneficial if you could just pick up the phone and contact your supplier to give you the right information?

I have done it exactly as on the video a day before the video came out, with Autel tech support help, but was playing with reading eeprom chip for over an hour with no success. Failed to read chip. All possible sides. Didn’t want to desolder and gave up. Not sure what was the issue. I have done Toyota/Lexus similar chip with AP103 with no problems before. Thank you for the video, hard to find clear new instructions how to do it.

@@charlessims1076 I'm in the same place looking for a vw programmer but for now I'm not investing a few thousands just to do vw. But vvdi2 might not cover 2019 and newer models. abrites might do but top dollar there, so I just keep researching until something less expensive comes along. With the money autel takes in from all their equipment and subscriptions I can't believe that they can't make a deal with vw and audi. But hey it's all about the money.

I am working (sufering) on a 2011 VW Jetta (NEC24C64) but this immobilizer I am able to make a dealer key but whan it is on "learning the keys" it fails. Did you have that situation before? Hi Junior. What I do in this situation is make sure there are no underlying conditions in the cluster . Second Ill install the ODIS software to try to learn the keys via obd. ( No need to do anything on bench) If that fails then I will defiantly know there is a hardware issue with one of the modules and the ODIS software will allow us to get a battery insight than the autel. The only thing with this strategy is that you need an original key . Not an after market key.

Can the Im608 read the immo data if you take out the cluster and put it in service mode using a abrites cable with the pogo pin? I tried it but did not have success doing it. I did have success with a different programmer. I think it should be able to do this also. It would reduce the risk of lost data. Also does the im608 verify the bin file it reads before modifying it? Without verification this is a risky job. If I have some other issues with some of these advanced autos like Jag or BMW do you do consulting for the USA?

Hello, Usually on VW will know what IMMO system is on the vehicle so I cant guarantee you that it will be the same for all unfortunately . Usually if you leave the Hazards lights on this will also wake up the ignition

How are you keeping power to the cluster, when you need to reinstall in step 6? This process seems risky. I think it would be much safer to put the cluster in service mode with the pogo pin, and finish programming that way.

Hello, Its hard to tell because on VW knows what system is in the vehicle. What I would do to be 100 percent with the universal keys is to contact your supplier and give them the vin number to see if it will work with your universal key. This is what I do to give the client absolute certainty with out any guessing games.

I know its a pain in the @ss but if you can contact your supplier to see if the can log in with you when you have connectivity issues and submit a data logging. This way the engineers can see what your not able to see. . Regarding the updates I do sell updates but they are more expensive than online.

​@@daudibnehussain572 atleast it's your dad. You need to read eeprom now its the only way. When you do key learning on vw be sure to learn all keys back so if you're adding 1 key you would hit 2. Because all will get erased now if the tool shows key add for your vehicle then you can add. But key learning will erase all keys.

@@nikhilmaneklal8730 in vw it does work, I've done Passats, Beetles, and even a 2006 Audi A6 with the ezl module which is an early fourth generation system, however, in MQB models learning a key like that is risky as you are likely to ruin your steering lock and the keys won't start. Not that it matters a lot since MQB cannot be done either way unless you get a dealer key or you send someone some data and then they calculate the immo data for you.

Why dont you present these complaints with the person responsible for you? Usually what I do for my clients is when they get a vehicle , they send me the VIN number and ill pass it on to my engineer if im not sure if the autel can do it. Once I get confirmation ill verify with my client and show them how to do the procedure. If the Autel cant do it ill show them an alternative to get the job done. Maybe share this framework with your supplier as its been really helpful for my clients.

Every single info source that I pay for and equipment guide, doesn't identify a vehicle y/m/m to which IMMO generation a vw will be using. Where can we find this info? The Autel VW coverage list is COMPLETELY missing all but one VW model. How can we find this info so we can get started with the CORRECT procedure? Throwing a dart isn't a good answer...

Good tutorial but all unnecessary. This whole job can be done through OBD2. Only time you have to remove the cluster is if it's a push to start.

Could you go into more detail on which options you choose? Because although it can be done without removing the cluster. It usually fails this process from my experience. That's why this seemed appealing to me as it's similar to zedful. But zedful uses pogo pen and always works.
