White sisig might be because they added mayonaise for a creamy texture. It is also why it tasted like salad.

@@jessiefujiwara3586 Probably, but people in my area like having some mayonaise on their sisig just for the creamy texture and I would definitely agree with their taste.

The white/ salad sisig is called Dinakdakan. It's common in northern luzon. Considered as counterpart of Sisig, but it's mostly served cold/ normal temp, not in a sizzling plate. Isa ito sa mga paborito naming mga ilocano. More power to you channel. Have a nice day!

Salad? More likely kilawen but i get your point why you called it salad. Its white cause they put mayonnaise on it, the authentic is pigs brain. But we prefer pigs brain or no brain no mayonnaise.

What I love about Kristy and Grace is how they interact with Filipino people. I feel other vloggers are so guarded and formal but both of you talk to them like they are friends and family. And you can tell the people they interact with are so comfortable and happy. I think that’s what really sets Kristy apart from other vloggers and it makes her videos feel so familiar and heartwarming. Continued prayers for the growth and success of your channel and also yourself!

The White Sisig is called Dinakdakan. It's one of the famous Ilocano delicacies, thats their version of Sisig. The traditional Dinakdakan uses pig's brain. The Dinakdakan with Mayo is the Manila version since it's kinda hard to get a pig's brain supply in the city. So, instead, they use mayo as an alternative. 😊 Like the original sisig in Pampanga, Dinakdakan is also perfect with beer hehe aka Pulutan. 😂

12:39 I think the salad sisig is the version of sisig that's most seen in Carenderias. Just like those Carenderias in our neighborhood. It usually look like that, white coz there's mayo. Meanwhile the other color that you're used to is more like a resto or pubs version that usually goes with beer.

The salad sisig is another way to cook sisig in other regions in the ph. They put mayo in the fried meat then topped with egg. While the dinakdakan is grilled meat mixed with mayo also.

Hyewa is dinadayo kc first and foremost gawa ng pag simba and second na lang un pamimili. May point nga naman kc marami din namang mga Asian store. Pero kc pde ding naging tourist destination un inu-offer ng Seouk govt para din sa mga ibang lahi na curios sa ating foods and culture.

I believe since you are based in Pampanga you are used to the original sisig by Aling Lucing... Original sisig has no mayonnaise, and the one you had at that place used mayonnaise. Hardcore sisig lovers, especially those in Pampanga say this, "Ang sisig dapat maasim (because sisig is the Kapamoangan word for sour). Pag may mayonnaise, dinakdakan na yan. Pag may itlog, omelette na yan. 😊

Dinakdakan is quite similar to sisig but the method is different... From left over inihaw to fried a bit and pinaasim ng kalamansi that's sisig. For dinakdakan is boiled meat then grilled chopped to bite size then suka or kalamansi to sour also we put chop luya and onion specially shallot. Both can use mayonnaise but the authentic dinakdakan is using parboiled pigs brain for creamier taste.

The white sisig instead of the usual (maillard reaction -overboard*, sour taste is optional with calamansi on the side, spice, egg, there's even a version where there is the add of liver spread, so...) sizzling delivery has more of a savory but sweet x sour AND creamy on the texture side in just one ingredient, which is mayonaise with pickle relish. 🪙🪙

The one that you call salad sisig is " dinakdakan " the pork is steamed, cut into small pieces seasoned with calamansi, vinegar, ground black pepper, salt/magic sarap, onions and ginger cut into small pieces and green sili and red sili or the siling labuyo if you want it spicy, some people adds mayonnaise and cream for fusion, that made you call it salad but for me adding such diverts the true taste of dinakdakan, BTW in dinakdakan onions and garlic is not sauteed unlike the regular sisig where onions are sauteed In dinakdakan you just combine all the ingredients/condiments
