Looks easy and delicious, Chris. Thanks! I'm thinking if I added some Indian spices, I might have a cold raw version of palak paneer. Maybe warm it up in the dehydrator or add some hot water.
@TheRawAdvantage4 жыл бұрын
It’s super tasty! Ohh I have a full recipe for “sagg veganeer” as another video, I make a fresh coconut milk with Indian spices, ginger, red pepper etc, then pulse in frozen and thawed spinach and any other green (collards or arugula) and then add cubes portobello mushroom, preferably partly dehydrating them first. It’s super good and also in my East Indian section of my TRA Retreat Treats recipe book! 🙌🏼

Garlic is a really good immunity booster. I add it to everything I can. I learned that if you chop it and let it sit in the open (I think it was 5 minutes or maybe more) it increases the medicinal value.

Hey Chris, great video thank you....What is a Hygienic?
@TheRawAdvantage4 жыл бұрын
My pleasure! Hygenic refers to a philosophy of health creation, the science of health, within which irritating items / “foods” you couldn’t make a meal of by themselves (like onions, garlic, peppers, spices) are either completely avoided or used very sparingly.

Hey Chris, would you know or suggest of books on food combination? Please and Thank you.
@TheRawAdvantage4 жыл бұрын
I have a small write up at the beginning of my first 3 books shown at the end of the video and all of the recipes in them use perfect food combining so they are a good example, there also is a chart in my free app. For a more comprehensive book, “food combining made easy” by Herbert Shelton is detailed, that said many of the scientific claims on food combining have been debunked. It’s helpful and simplifies digestion but isn’t as black and white as the book or people make it, hence a great too for optimal digestion but not entirely set in stone scientific.

Do you ferment or pickle anything?
@TheRawAdvantage4 жыл бұрын
I used to a lot more before going raw and made krauts, Kim chi, rejuvilac etc, but have only a few times since then. As a generality I prefer fresh foods, but do have some on occasion.

Before slice spinach, what did you do with it? (I saw it not fresh). Sorry, my english not well, I did not catch up that one you said
@TheRawAdvantage4 жыл бұрын
No prob, Before I sliced the spinach I froze it in the freezer and then thawed it. This gives the look taste and mouthfeel of steamed spinach :)

my mom used to make something VERY similar to this when we were kids but instead of avocado she used dairy joghurt and she added black pepper was hella(!) good with white bread i guess u could add lemon juice to ur recipe to emulate the tangyness of dairy

Ohh so fun! Absolutely, lemon is a optional n works super good! Hope you try it and it brings back some memories!

2:22 What do you mean by being "more hygienic"?
@TheRawAdvantage3 жыл бұрын
Onions and garlic are often omitted in natural hygiene or a hygenic approach. I was giving options for both :)

Here’s a good write up as it relates to a holistic raw food lifestyle as per what I was referring to www.health101.org/art_hygiene.htm
@rabbitcreative3 жыл бұрын
@@TheRawAdvantage Okay. I'll read through that and see if I find an answer to my question, though I suspect it relates to John Rose's map about "the simpler the meal, the better you'll feel". Thank-you!
@TheRawAdvantage3 жыл бұрын
Truthfully it’s quite a bit deeper than that. Natural hygiene is about much more than dietary choices but that is one aspect, even then there is a rich history and some differing views with many entire books on the subject. Some of the most definitive work is by Herbert Shelton 🙌🏼
@rabbitcreative3 жыл бұрын
@@TheRawAdvantage I found this, which I think was written by one of the authors that John Rose mentions: chestofbooks.com/health/natural-cure/The-Hygienic-System-Orthotrophy/Introduction.html This text I understand better than the one you linked, no offense. Obviously it's longer, and I'm okay with that. RAW is life, and the truth. Cheers.
