Actually, once you get to a certain level, you use your qi more than your muscles to hold i like a chair shelf, while it roots you into the ground and also holds you like a puppet on the top half of your body. Although, until you reach that point ít definitely is alot of work and muscle use. Lots of dedication..

@Walter McDonald Keep practicing. You will become more and more perfect. I am going on four yrs. of practicing wing chun. It is trial and error over and over. Over the yrs. I get better and better. I am able to do what I want with more and more precision over time. It's truly amazing to me that it can take so much time to become proficient at many arts. Even the Chinese say that it can take yrs. of practice. Even a lifetime in some instances. That is the beauty of an art whether it is self defense, sculpting, art, and so on

Tai Chi enables us to re-establish a connection of the mind with the body. The slow movements allow our focus to follow and direct the positioning of our hands and feet. Through this connection we gain greater balance and co-ordination, and our nervous system improves as we develop an awareness of our body. 😐 An inspiring demostration. Teaching without speaking.

Other forms mentioned as Wudang Tai Chi are fictional ( Form 36, Form 64 Laoyao, The Swimming Dragon...) they are made up recently by Wudang masters.

This form appears to have a lot more water energy in it. The reason I say that is because if you look at the wudang snake form, it has very similar vertical spiraling movements The culminate in energy feeding out to the extremities. The fact that he's doing it after it has rained made also confirm that idea.

@arlieferguson39904 жыл бұрын
Kasumi Fu This demonstration is an example. But really I'm only mentioning it because it shows how the energy flows. I think that the best teacher you can have is the Qi itself. Until you start to feel Qi it won't be truly what it should be. When you do the exercise is the most important thing is to let the Qi flow. There isn't really any secret to it apart from discovering Qi. Once you have done that you can begin to feel how the exercises are supposed to flow by feeling how the energy flows inside of you. This is just my own personal experience kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3usaoV9hp6Bg5Y
