I’m a private pilot. Many of these small fields have fences but also easy access points like a simple gates or the ability to pass through a building onto the ramp. Having a random “stranger” outside isn’t necessarily unusual. But having them breaking into planes is. Smaller airfields depend on “see something, say something.” *Great work by Osthello!* He’s to be commended for sure.

ABC news does not employ writers, they use Ai to rehash AP stories. The AI didn't make a description because ABC doesn't make despriptions.

Looks Asian? Authorities aren't really asking for the public's help if the News isn't giving a description.

Odds are this guy wasn't even in the country 100 days ago.

You never know, plenty of strange people on the planet. He probably had some knowledge of aircraft but the two involved at a bit more complicated than a basic trainer - id love to have a silver eagle or at least the money 😂 luckily the guy wasn’t violent and no one was harmed. But “security” is pretty lax at most all GA airports actually , i landed at 3 in 2 different states one day last week and all of them had unsecure entrance gates and no one at the airport, (virtually all fuel is now self serve) - neither of these expensive birds was even locked let alone in a locked hanger, the guy probably was familiar enough with the place to know this. Doubt he was some random guy just wandering down the road but who knows.

I guarantee you 1,000 % Jared did not say “tarmac.” That is a word only journos use.. (Pilots call it the ramp or parking area)

to me this is a huge failure on part of the airport. sounds like they knew about the hole in the fence (also when and how did it get there?) and it's going to take two weeks to fix it? yikes, all bad, security at this airport was someone that wasn't hired to do that.

The massive homeless encampment by the airport perhaps? Something we never had under previous governors
