Other than the disguise of peace and security by way of joining EU/NATO, what else are "benefits" of this action? Is this propaganda from the West that penetrates hard on the youth and creates internal chaos? - 24:19 Will Georgia also face what Ukraine is so unfortunate to face now, the false promises of the West and abandonment quick to follow? I say distant relatives are good for a short visit, but diplomacy and good relations with neighbors are for a lifetime. I see so much comparative similarities between global events and proxy wars and geopolitical conflicts taking place all around the world these days where one of my conclusions was that at the sunset of the global dominant super power, it does not want to go down quietly, rather go down in a ball of flames where it engulfs the entire world... create chaos and destabilize all corners of the world in hopes of holding on to such loss of power and dominance for a mere moment further. So Johnny Harris, care to take a deep dive into this? Or are you also a cog in the propaganda machine? ps: I'm from Sri Lanka, and I'm a silent observer of the contemporary global event.

Poland's Lech Kaczyński in August 2008 traveled to Tbilisi together with the presidents of Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to show solidarity with Georgia in the face of Russia's invasion of that country, according to accounts by officials. He said at the time: "Today Georgia, tomorrow Ukraine, the day after tomorrow the Baltic states, and then, perhaps, the time will come for my country, Poland."

@@HandHold Very one-sided report. Give us the whole picture. Which country implemented the foreign agents law first? The USA. Why don't you mention who started the aggression in 2008 first? Why don't you give the Ossetian side a voice? Read this, guys: The concept of foreign agent laws was first formalized in the United States with the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) of 1938. This U.S. law requires individuals and entities acting on behalf of foreign governments, organizations, or individuals in a political or quasi-political capacity to disclose their relationships and activities. FARA was initially enacted to combat foreign propaganda, especially from Nazi Germany, by promoting transparency around foreign influence on U.S. policies. Over time, similar laws have been adopted by other countries, often aiming to limit foreign influence on domestic politics. In some cases, such laws have been expanded or modified to regulate non-governmental organizations (NGOs), media, and other entities believed to be influenced by foreign funding or interests. In the 2008 Russo-Georgian War, Georgian forces launched an assault on South Ossetia's capital, Tskhinvali, on the night of August 7-8. This attack was part of an attempt by the Georgian government to reassert control over the region, which had declared independence from Georgia in the early 1990s. South Ossetia and Abkhazia were both breakaway regions with longstanding tensions with the Georgian government. Russia, which supported South Ossetian separatists and had peacekeeping troops in the region, responded quickly to the Georgian offensive. Within hours, Russia sent troops and launched a large-scale military intervention into South Ossetia and other parts of Georgia, leading to a five-day conflict. Russia justified its actions as a defense of its citizens and peacekeepers in South Ossetia, but Georgia argued that it was acting to restore constitutional order within its own borders. The war ended with a ceasefire on August 12, 2008. Following the conflict, Russia formally recognized South Ossetia and Abkhazia as independent states, though only a few countries have followed suit, and the majority of the international community still considers both regions part of Georgia. Though, please verify this yourself by looking on the internet or talking to Ossetians. This report makes it seem like there was a war between Russia and Georgia, excluding Ossetians entirely, as if they are unworthy of having a say in this matter at all. Give the word to the Ossetians. Ask them: do they want Georgians to rule over them?

Russians are not goat farmers and some insurgent group to be simply taken over.

For those who believe everything they hear accompanied by beautiful music and drone shots - Stalin was, in fact, Georgian by nationality. During the Soviet Union, Georgia held a "special" privileged status among the other republics (as did Ukraine, by the way). Enormous resources were invested in Abkhazia, daily trains ran to Kutaisi, and Tskhaltubo was the primary destination for the Union's elite to rest and receive treatment. So, to claim that life in Georgia was tough under the Soviet Union is simply untrue. Even today, it's objectively clear that Georgia relies on Russia for economic support, with exports to Russia and a significant portion of the country’s income coming from tourism. I’m not denying that Georgia lost 25% of its territory after the events of 2008 - that’s a fact. But there’s no need to exaggerate things either.

Very one-sided report.

The republic remained unrecognized, yet it detached itself from Georgia de facto. In the last years of the Soviet Union, ethnic tensions between Ossetians and Georgians in Georgia's former Autonomous Oblast of South Ossetia (abolished in 1990) and between Ossetians and the Ingush in North Ossetia evolved into violent clashes that left several hundred dead and wounded and created a large tide of refugees on both sides.

Only in this case Georgia attacked Russia. First, Georgia sent troops into South Ossetia, destroying cities like Tskhinvali, and then attacked Russian peacekeepers who were maintaining peace in the region at Georgia's invitation. As you probably know, this is the unleashing of a war, for which Georgia and the countries that incited it are responsible. Take, for example, the confession of George Bush Jr., who told Vovan and Lexus that Saakashvili (the President of Georgia who unleashed the war against Russia and is now in a Georgian prison) was a puppet ruler installed by Western countries after a coup d'etat.

Russia is same as cancer that spreads all over the body, eating you up cell by cell. its not gonna stop on Ukraine and Georgia, its appetite just growing with time. The world should have never accepted invasion of Georgia and part of Ukraine at the first place years ago. They understand only power. And after that georgia tried to push them from their home by military force. Killed childern and olders. This young generation that you showed in this video acting like this situation didnt exist but as a representative of Ossetian nation, my granfather born in South Ossetia, i can say that none of these people whant to live in Georgia, live with this people and wait for another act of violence. Buy the way we lived in this land much earlier than Georgians. Very interestingly told, but the author forgot to tell how it all began. First, Georgia began to shell the territory of Abkhazia, calling them separatists and capturing Sukhumi. @@AddieHilton Yes, of course ♥️. Suddenly, Russia has 50,000 soldiers with tanks, artillery, and aircraft on the only road connecting to Georgia. A week before, they evacuated their civilians and began firing at Georgian villages. The day Georgia responded, these 50,000 soldiers immediately started advancing, bombing the entire Georgian territory from the sea, from another occupied region, Abkhazia, and from the air. They killed many civilians simply because they were Georgian, and thousands of Georgians were forcibly displaced from their homes. Of course, Georgia “attacked” Russia on their so-called territory, which only Syria, North Korea, and a few “peace-loving” organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah recognize as independent. Do you know how long it takes to gather 50,000 soldiers at the border? No. Russia started preparations two months before their attack. It is necessary to mention that the Russian Empire systematically populated these occupied regions, settling Ossetians and Abkhazians loyal to them. In order to seize these territories at the right time, accusing the Georgians of oppression. 🇰🇿🙏🇬🇪

@@Gkloman Rusians were doing it long before the English or Israelis, and on a MUCH bigger scale. There is no comparison. Georgia survived because the country has been relatively well connected to the rest of the world historically. Go ask Circassians, Chuvash, and hundreds of other nationalities wiped off the map, what happened to their countries? How do you think Russia became the biggest country in the world? You think every indigenous people from Baltic sea to Alaska just gave them the land for free? The difference between Russian and British Empires is that the British at least hold themselves accountable for their past. So people like you get to shitonthem, try going to Russia and speak about their past crime, you'll suffer a severe case of gravity from an appartment window :))))

Почему никто не упоминает арабов, заселивших Египет?)) Александра Македонского, татаро-монгольское иго и заселение американцев на земли индейцев? Почему все молчат про колонии Франции, которые находятся на большом расстоянии от Франции.
