I'm an 11 year old girl and I just wanted to say, that you inspired me to get in to writing! You are my role model and I look up to you! I really want to read your book (The Alpha Drive) I hope one day I can be just like you Your biggest fan Anna

Do not worry about cutting down on vlogs!! You are doing a lot as it is and it only makes sense that the first few months after the promotion (congrats again!) would be more hectic. You manage to balance a full time job AND write AND market your books AND post 2 videos a week! I have no idea how you manage even half of your day! You are not going to disappoint us :) We understand and support you. Live your dream! Cheers from sunny LA (here I am at another convention before I fly to NYC for BookCon!)!

Aw Kristen that's more than okay! You do so much anyway and, as you said, already post more than some full-time KZbinrs. Keep your balance - I'll just enjoy the vlogs twice as much from now on :)

I don't blame you cutting back. You don't want to burn out or get to a point where you are not enjoying what you do. 2 vlogs still sounds great (although I will miss 4). Having just started vlogging myself, I know how time consuming it can be and right now I'm on break from uni, so I don't know how you manage to fit it all in. :)

That's totally understandable. Life changes so sometimes you have to adapt. I think your writing should be your priority since it's your passion--and job. we enjoy visiting with you but for me if you had to go hiatus with the vlog totally for a while, do what's good for you and know that the people who care want you to be ok. have a great day! p.s. I tried to record and edit a video, and I appreciate your videos so much more now because that was hard. and my video editor sucks.

love the vlogs...but yes, life can get hectic, glad you'll still be posting vlogs now and then and still keep up the writing advice vids. I've actually scheduled a social media break starting tomorrow. doesn't really include YT, that just happens unintentionally if I'm really busy anyway. but just want to conclude with saying thanks for all your videos. you are very inspirational regarding working on one's self and trying to love a balanced life. :)

I really love your vlogs! It's completely okay if you changed your schedule...and yes congratulations on the promotion! So happy to hear that!

Something that might make vlogging less stressful is to do what some others do by vloging bigger chunks of activities or something special etc so you don't feel bogged down with a camera the entire day. Then, at the end of the day you could do a little verbal wrap up. Maybe this can help you have more of a down time on weekends you don't vlog.

Congrats on your promotion!! I think that's such an awesome blessing. I totally understand about you having to change up the amount of vlogs. I'll be patiently waiting for the new vlogs. :)

Ah, I will miss the weekly blog but completely understand the pressures of a new job. I loved reading Alpha Drive and would rather you write and be happy than stress about a video. Good luck with all the work ahead! ❤️

Great vlog Kristen, it's okay to cut back on vlogs, and I didn't know what the bell next to subscribe did until now haha, thanks!

That's totally reasonable to cut back right now. People are online less during the summer anyway, so this probably works best for everyone. I'll still tune in, of course! :)

So happy for your promotion! Congrats, and I really respect your decision to balance life and media. I think that balance is a huge part of life and I admire that you really seek to not over-commit in order to do what serves "you." Thanks and again congrats!

I definitely love your vlogs but I completely understand the need to cut back. Adulting is not always easy! 😉 I do have a video idea: time management. You are the queen of time management (in my opinion)! I believe you've touched on it briefly in the past. Any tips you could provide would be appreciated!

You are SO organised! If I were half as organised as you, I would do so many things ^^' I adopted the bullet journal a couple of months ago and I really like it. But it doesn't really help with time management. Anyway, good luck with your job :)

Confess is AWESOME. I'm a huge Colleen Hoover fan, haha. I don't blame you for cutting back. Don't sacrifice the writing. I've had to do that in the past, and it was awful.

Congratulations on your promotion! I love your vlogs but I understand if you need more time for other projects. One idea that might help vlogs take less time is to film for a short period of time several days over the course of the week and then make a Week in the Life video instead. That way it's not a whole day of time but instead, you could pick out some things you think might be interesting that occur and film each of those, even if it's just 10 or 20 minutes long. There's a KZbinr I follow who does this, her name is Rachellea, if you want to check her out.

could you talk about clichés and of there is a place for them please? As in can one use a cliché in some or no way?
@christyjohnson17997 жыл бұрын
Ahti Voutilainen cliches as in words or phrases? like 'she released a breath she hadn't realized she was holding' kind of things? yes leave those alone. write in your own words. *but* if you mean tropes like 'long lost princess' or a 'Cinderella' story, those are always good. but with that you have to put a different spin on it. don't tell the exact same story but make it your own. that's mostly what writing is.
@ahtikai7 жыл бұрын
clichés in story, yes (I'd no idea they were called tropes), and thank you for the answer! :)
@christyjohnson17997 жыл бұрын
Ahti Voutilainen you're welcome. there's a website called tvtropes dot com that has pages of them with examples. they're fun to read but a massive time suck
