It can be so comforting to here another individual speak on a shared experience 🫶

I need it pitch black and quiet as can be.

I'm the same about my bed. I use to have to wash my feet every night with lotion and socks. Now that I sleep better, it's not as bad.

Uhg yeah dirty feet are a no go for me. I can resonate with that. I can’t sleep with socks ever though!

Can you talk about similarities and differences of ADHD and Autism?
@AuthenticallyAlexis2023 Жыл бұрын
I would love to do a video on that! There’s a lot of overlap and similarities. ❤

I’m lucky if I get 3-4 hours a night.

is it usual for someone on the spectrum to struggle with strict structure or routine? I follow a rhythm and flow but struggle to start and stop things, hate making promises I can’t keep so I don’t like to commit often till I know I can truly do it. A lot of what you talk about makes me feel like I’m being seen in this world for the first time.

So the short answer is yes. A lot of us especially if we’re on the spectrum and also have ADHD. Have a hard time following a routine. Even if routine is where we thrive! I tend to stick to rhythms as well instead of straight structure because I know that the ADHD part of my brain cannot keep up. It sounds like you know yourself well! I too often commit to things that I can’t follow through with.

And struggling to start and stop things have to do with autistic inertia. It’s hard to get the ball rolling until we do. And it’s hard to stop it.
