I love to see your kids are so connected with you guys and doing the same thing what you are doing. Some videos I see lot of eloping and even for pushing cart for one feet takes them lot of effort. Ian and Connor are so articulated and Alastair is getting there. It would be great if you can do a video about how they progressed over the years and what helped them to thrive. I know you have decided to not to post negative things but it would be a learning for other parents to help their kids

Its nice to see these simple vlogs of what you guys do in your free time when you don’t have a lot of extra money, especially in the over commercialized online space. It reminds me of the things my family used to do in summers and on weekends when I was a kid. It’s oddly nostalgic in a way idk lol.

So many good memories are made doing simple things that might seem mundane in the adult mind but special through the eyes of a child. My favorite thing was liverwurst on onion roll sandwich my dad made. To him it was a depression era food but to 10 year old me it turned into a life long treat. Keep making those memories.

Costco is a fun place where I can see what I like to see, I like to look at the tv’s and some of the electronic stuff and Costco is where I got my first own tv at! Also, love how I can get bulk there with a big price but can last me a while and I love the pizza there too! Hope u all are doing well!

I once took my kids to Home Depot figuring my husband and I could buy what we needed and what could they possibly want from there? We were wrong! Gabrielle found the gardening department and Nicholas (who has autism) found the appliances. At the time, they were 7 and 8 years old. Maybe younger.

Health scientist here. Cutting out carbs to lose weight is a myth & not the healthiest way to do things. All things in moderation. Carbs are an essential part of the diet. To lose weight, the most effective way is to reduce your saturated fat intake. 1g of carbs = 4 calories. 1g of fat = 9 calories. But the key is reducing saturated fats, not all fats. For example, butter is actually better for you than margarine. Not only does margarine have higher saturated fat than butter, but a whole bunch more chemicals. And if you cut carbs to lose weight, you'll gain it all back when you go back to a normal carb intake. The healthiest way to lose weight is to check & (if necessary) correct your portion sizes.

Yeah I don't believe in eliminating all carbs of course, just most of the added sugars and simple carbs from cheap bread in a lot of fast food, etc.

@@AutismFamilyChannel Good plan. Wholewheat bread is a good alternative. It's the white breads, like in fast food, that you need to stay away from. It's the same with pasta & rice, wholewheat pasta is a better choice & making sure any rice you buy hasn't been bleached. Bleached rice tends to have added simple sugars to make it more pleasant to eat. And a mediterranean diet is also a good way to lose weight. It includes the essential foods grouos, but with much less saturated fats.
