I am single and have Both Costco and Sam's Club. Depends on your lifestyle. I cook and/or bake every single day. Eggs, butter, milk, flour, sugar, etc. Is less than buying in a regular market. Almost everything is a better buy than a grocery store. If one eats meat, they have some phenomenal deals. I buy chicken for the dogs and cats. And my house is small by American standards. And have a place for everything - a lot of shelf stable itens are in my garage and use a couple bookshelves in the house as a "pantry." Also do supply runs for where I work. The annual fee is recouped in my first purchase.

When we first came to America, I took my daughter to Costco. I was so excited and pointed out how convenient it was to buy in bulk. My daughter pointed to a large package of laxative and said, “I HOPE that is more than you’ll need in a lifetime.”😂
@burrybondz2252 жыл бұрын
?? Where did you live? Because I lived in yemen before coming here and there was a whole market for bulk purchases. Not to be racist but I can’t imagine a country with less economic development than Yemen, so I’m really curious where you live
@vm48902 жыл бұрын
@@burrybondz225 If you live in a country where buying in bulk is not an asset, you won’t be drawn to visit COSTCO. People often assume that every country is like their own. All people drive cars; there is a COSTCO that one may reach conveniently, large amounts can be stored easily inside the home. In areas with high humidity, heat, lack of central heat and air conditioning bulk purchases may be unrealistic unless you have a large extended family or own a business. I’m glad to see that at least you traveled out of your little American bubble and ended up in Yemen. I lived in Japan; my house had limited storage, lacked central air and heat, and there were large cockroaches that would lay eggs in anything that sat too long. We also had rats. I wonder how much people who live in New York City flock to purchase in bulk at Costco…. Try thinking from the perspective of others; it creates a more open minded less rude and critical approach to others.
@burrybondz2252 жыл бұрын
@@vm4890 It seems that you were offended and I don't know why because when I said "i don't want to be racist" I meant racist against yemen for having low economic performance (before and definitely after the war) . I think you assumed that I was being rude to you or the country you hail from. Your earlier response perfectly translated your thoughts so I don't know why you deleted it and replaced it with this negatively charged comment. Second, there must be places with bulk markets in japan but not where you live so I don't understand the hostility since you are the one making assumptions about the whole of japan and not a congested city(Do not take this as passive aggresive because I live in a congested city right now). I could argue that limited storage is the only limiting variable since the city I was in was hot humid with large cockroaches, lizards and rats.
