Autism-Family-Friendly Talk Show Day

Today, if you ask a friend if they know someone with autism they will say yes, my best friend's daughter, my neighbour's son, my cousin or my brother or sister has Autism. The numbers are scary and awareness is starting to happen. Just this year a shopping mall used the first Autism-friendly shopping mall Santa. The Musical play the Lion King in NY put on the first Autism-sensitive play. The audience were all on the Autism spectrum and they all ended up loving the play. For many people with Autism, going to a movie, mall or even an event like a talk show is hard but not impossible. Thanks to "out of the box" thinkers like the promoters of the Lion King, people on the Autism spectrum experienced an amazing show, however, they also got to do what lots of people take for granted. They all were able to go out for the day and enjoy themselves in a big setting like a theatre. This got me thinking. A lot of people with autism watch T.V and enjoy it. Why does a play have to be the only show that can be Autism-sensitive? So my goal is to get all of you to sign my petition to get The Ellen Degeneres show, Dr. OZ, Kelly Live, The View and Dr. Phil to put on the first ever all Autism spectrum-friendly show for Autism awareness month. My hope is that you will sign this and we can raise over 15,000 signatures showing support to this cause. Then hopefully, all four of these shows will see how important this is and will do a show with an audience filled with people on the Autism spectrum.
