I think for the auto hold option you can just push RES on that case you don’t need to press the acceleration it will resume itself. Awesome tips great video
@offtheshelfrides2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I will have to try that next time. I guess I just figured that since I used it to activate it then it wouldn't do anything to press it again.

Awesome tips. Had no idea our ID.4 had heated wing mirrors, shame winter is over lol. Manual high beam setting is very cool, I get frustrated if the high beams don't come on as I am leaving my driveway at night. Great to know I can force them on. The best tip of all? Switching phones. This has been THE most frustrating thing I have dealt with with the ID.4. I'll have the destination set on my phone and my wife's phone decides its boss, pretty much the same as my wife herself. Manual fold of the mirrors is good especially when backing out from the garage. Wish the ID.4 had auto folding mirrors like my Model 3.

Glad to help. There is auto folding/unfolding mirrors when locking/unlocking if you weren't aware. It's in this video, the 1st tips & tricks video kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXrFpImZaL2gl8k

@@offtheshelfrides I did discover the auto fold on lock. It's visual confirmation to my wife that she has locked the car.

Thanks for demonstrating the folding mirrors. On another subject, I'm not a fan of auto-hold. I rather have my foot on the brake in case someone hits me from behind. I might still get pushed, having the brakes tightly engaged should reduce the amount of momentum caused by a rear-end hit.
@offtheshelfrides2 жыл бұрын
Yep, I understand you. Not sure how the auto hold would react to a hit from behind....
@markhawks792 Жыл бұрын
I would rather have my car roll forward if it would not hit anything, that would absorb some of the kinetic energy and leave less to damage me.

Good details. Can you show me how to setup garage door opener
@offtheshelfrides2 жыл бұрын
I actually haven't set mine up. There is a button on the garage door opener itself that you push to send out the signal, then I believe you push and hold down the button in the car until the door goes up or down. That is how it has worked on other cars.

I push the talk button and ask id4 to change the volume. When that is done the volume button works again.

Nice, I found if you switch to the car stereo and back to android auto, it reactivated also

The first thing I did when I got my ID4 was to turn off auto hold. I really don't see any instances when it's useful. I would love to hear from others when you think it's a useful feature.
@offtheshelfrides Жыл бұрын
Overall, it's more gimmick than anything else. But there probably are people in big cities that spend a lot of time in traffic, to and from work, that would be more relaxing to not have to keep their foot on and off the brake.
@thesecond55882 жыл бұрын
Concerning the volume control: When we lose the ability to adjust the volume, we just touch the "Power" button and then immediately touch it again; the volume control is now back on. After stumbling onto this, it have never failed to work.

Good find! I later found that if I push the Radio button, it switches off Android auto and to satellite radio, it works fine after that. Thanks for the update!

Does ID.4 2021 have hill climb control? thanks

It does have incline hold. It will hold itself on an incline for about 3 seconds before it may roll back depending on how steep the incline is.

Can you send me some tricks to help With getting my mirrors to fold in and out ?
@offtheshelfrides2 жыл бұрын
The only thing I can think of is to go into the car settings and try removing the auto fold and then turning it back on. If that doesn't work, try deselecting it when you are done for the night, let it shut down overnight, then when you get back in and everything reboots, try turning it back on.
@stephanieelhayani47742 жыл бұрын
I tried that and it didn’t work. Do you know if you can manually fold out the mirrors without causing any issues to automatic function?
