Auto Level? Rescue? How To Set It Up On A Mikado Vcontrol And Vbar!

In this video we go over setting up Auto Level or as mikado calls it, beginner mode. As well as setting up the Rescue! It’s very simple and was to do on Vbar.

It would be really cool to see a VBAR setup on a Spektrum radio. Going through the beginning with their microsoft software. I think a lot of people are interested in the VBAR flybarless unit but want to keep their other transmitters for a time. Although we know that using the VControl is the way to go be great to see a desktop set up from the beginning.

That is a great idea! I can definitely do that! I’ll set one up and see how it’s done and then make a video. The Vcontorl is definitely the way to go with Vbar NEO/EVO but I get that it’s expensive and if you have a Spektrum radio you might as well use it! I personally thing the Vbar NEO/EVO is the best flying FBL I’ve flown this far.

Outstanding! I have been patiently waiting for this video. I haven't programmed mine yet but in order to see the smiley face on the radio, I assume you must first program the Evo using the wizard completely before it will show on the radio? 🧙‍♂👍

I hope the video was helpful! Is your Evo updated to pro/rescue software? If so, then yes, you need to fully set the SPL up and then it will show the smiley face on the upper screen.

Hey Jeff, I have watched almost all of your videos, and my question is which flight stabilization do you think is the best. I have used spektrum for years and I am ready to move on to something else, you used the Icon2 in alot of your videos and that looks like a pretty easy set up, but recently you have been using or setting up helis with Vbar. Let us know which one you would suggest.

Another awesome video Jeff! Newbie question, so with the vbar do you not need a receiver like you you do with an ikon? And if not does that mean that you can’t use the vbar controller with small satellite receivers like a kirson for example in an OMP 1?

No, you do not need a RX like with a iKon, the Vbar NEO or EVO is the FBL with built in receiver. So actually you can use it with a M1/S1 or M2/S2. You need a Vbar RX it’s just the receiver part of the system. You can take it out of the case and SBUS it. I plan on buying one and making a video about it.

Hello! It is your gear ratio. Meaning how many teeth the motor pinion or pulley is and how many teeth the main gear/pulley is.

Unfortunately it’s per NEO/EVO, if you buy it your self meaning from them and not when you buy the FBL it’s cheaper around $70 but you have to update your self. I’m going to make a video on that.

Does vba rescue do inverted rescue. I don’t mean it rescues itself while inverted I want to know if your practising inverted & hit it it stays inverted but climbs like the spirit FBL does. Normal rescue & aerobatic rescue.

Yes, that’s how rescue works. If you hit it, it will up right and “rescue” the helicopter. No matter the orientation.

So you pay $1300 for v-control and $259 for the vbar fbl, and you have to pay €99 extra for rescue software? Ridiculous! €199 for my Radiomaster tx16s and you can program rescue yourself for free. And with Rotorflight you have rescue in a $80 fbl unit.

I’ll take my Vcontorl and Vbar any day over the Radiomaster TX16S and Rotorflight. Not impressed with the TX16S. Yes I have two of them.
