They aren’t jacking points, they where used to move the body shells in the factory.

I wouldn’t use the frame rails either, they’re much softer than they look. This can deform the floorpan and then ergo the seat mounting points - nightmare

Great video. Always have to stop what I'm doing to watch these videos whenever a new one is released. Really surprised by the decent condition of the underside of these cars, especially for what you paid for them. I would love to see some content of you building these and finishing up with a European road-trip (to Germany's famous toll road perhaps 😉). I'd also love to see some more content of you using your collection of cars on track. Keep up the good work!

I had a 1988 E30 325i SE Auto (saloon).... BRILLIANT CAR... Drove exceedingly well... Thirsty though (steady 55mph = 21 to 25 MPG lol)... I LOVED IT... Well, til the Cambelt went and lunched the engine.. 😒 I miss it GREATLY... 😟 😎🇬🇧

I rebuilt a 325 e30 a few months ago. For a customer and absolutely loved the proces! U should definitely put a M-techniks bodykit bolt on both of them!!

i've had mine (Teddy) 9 years now ,love it but lately been loving the E34 (Big brother) more, going on 4 years now , both tourings ,both rust free haha ! Most noticeable first mod you can do is the steering rack ,install a e46 purple tag ,so much better ! If you want to do a budget bolt on big brake upgrade and 5 lug conversion let me know , i'll share my personal formula ,it's not documented anywhere.

I’ve owned an 88’ 325is coupe once. LSD with 5 speed. Needed all bushings replaced, driveshaft was shot, ant infestation, floorboard rust cancer, but it was so light on its feet, and that I6 sang at full tilt getting onto the highway. Such a cool car!!

I love the e30. My first one was a 316 1.8ltr carb. 4 speed manual. I absolutely loved it. Had a few more since but I still love the E30. Wish I could find another like my first one but it would cost my a fortune now.

poly bushings everything, bc racing coilovers and a good exhaust system these cars will be amasing! might aswell seen as your bushings are shot Alex, did my e39 m5 and after a weeks worth of driving the bushings was as comfortable as stock but they really made the car sit through the corners, worth every penny

Funniest would be a 2.5TD as it is the closest yet furthest you can get from a E30 325i touring, and they are also very tunable. Of course a 2.6 gasoline would be a great competitive car as well 😂

Very enjoyable video, those BMWs are certainly beautiful old specimens and I can't wait to see what you do with them. The only thing which could be improved in this video is the audio level matching. The Lav mics were very quiet compared to the music and transitions. Just FYI!

Simple upgrade, look for the very rare ALPINA plug and play replacement ECU. Just gives a little extra grunt, but not crazy. I had one on my E30 2.5i Cabrio in Spain. Revved to 8600 rpm. (Note: make sure the flywheel magnet is well fixed for TDC sensing as the extra rpm can spit it off). I saw an indicated 268kmh on a motorway with rpm left to go but ran out of balls to find the max speed. Not the most aerodynamic car at that speed. Great car, loved it.

Things you guys should do, e46 zhp steering rack swaps, drop rear subframe and weld in toe and camber correction kits before installing the Bc racing coilovers. My e30 is on them and I’m at 2.5 degrees of camber set as far positive as possible wiht out the correction kits. Also did the zhp rack and it’s Miata level good! Also recommend engine risers and a skid plate from red46 to save those oil pans!! So excited to see the builds come together

Having owned a E30 325is get a 6 branch manifold and scorpion exhaust on it. They sound amazing. Also if you have the budget get rid of the Air flow meter and have a MAF conversion and map.Oh and LSD (standard on sport). Front strut brace & poly bushes on ARBs makes a nice difference too.

Miss my project e30 318 touring I had. It was in red manual with 60k full service history but was sitting inna barn for 5 year and got it for £300 back In 2013 after having all the bottom of windscreen welded and lot of hours of work had to sell due to financial difficulties. Whatever they do, I hope they go in two different directions. One could be the perfect car for a road trip, while the other becomes more track-focused. Or they could have the same budget and one uses it just to improve the engine, while the other improves aerodynamic and handling (then compare how that improves track time), or one could become a wolf in sheep's clothing, while the other gets to look as "ricer" as possible.
