Randy - a word of advise on cost and time savings on fogged headlamps. Those kits are great but alll you need is: -spray bottle of soaping water - 1500 and 2000 wet sand paper - start with the 1500 and move up to 2000 by hand - clean and use a compound polish with a buffer or by hand - wipe and apply a polishing compound - wip and wax and you will have clear lamps for 6-12 (I’m in south Florida and this process lasts)by not using any harsh degreasers on the plastic lamps As a long time body and paint resto guy - I would never use packing tape on a vehicle finish especially one with a new paint job - asking for an issue with the clear. Keep up the hunt for old random GMs out at the auction - haven’t seen a Beretta in a while! Happy Hunting

We had a 2.7 in my wife's 2002 Chrysler Sebring LXI. Never burned a drop of oil. Wife loved it. Especially with the top down. We only got rid of it after two years because my son outgrew the back seat. Surprisingly it was pretty accommodating for a 2 door convertible. We traded it for your favorite chassis, Panther. We bought a nice, barely driven 2000 Lincoln Town Car Cartier. Kept that one for almost nine years.

DUE TO THE BODY CONDITION, $3,000 is a fair price. You really did right by this car. I love these videos where you take a car over that finish line. I love seeing some of the quicker cuts of before & after like you see in WatchJRGo videos. I think this car, the Mercedes, the Accord & in general, straight/reasonably clean cars are the sweet spot for you because you can focus more on the details vs getting a frame pulled, then running out of steam and just quick flipping it. As I’ve commented before, I think more content is better long term vs a quick profit. Good work.

Working with cars and a lot of Dodge cars over the years here is what I found.. Avenger's are solid cars, did everything good, comfortable, well built cars..The 2.7 is a good engine, the issues the 2002- newer have are people don't do coolant changes and the other is when the waterpump starts to fail they ignore it and keep driving it,they then see the car getting warm and overheat the car and that kills the engine! You cannot overheat the 2.7 at all,a little over half shut the car off!!!! If you ever get another 2.7 and it starts to overheat do not drive it!! 1998-2001 2.7's have oil sludge issues when you dont change oil on time, they got rid of the 3,000 mile oil change and went 7,000 or something like that and that was the death nail SLUDGE..remember Toyota had a bigger oil sludge issue for a longer period of time during these years and more cars failed..people dont remember this.. If you want or looking for an Avenger and thats what you want, the 3.6 V6 is a rocket in these! The 08-10 3.5 is quick too mid 6 second 0-60,very quick for its class and era..The 2.4 is a reliable engine ,easy to work on being a 4cyl everything is easily accessible! probably the better engine for the average person, low maint costs as a 4 banger and easy to work on(more room)..The 2.7 is decent, dont over heat them, otherwise change oil every 3000 - 4000 miles and you're good to go.The 1998-2001 2.7 change oil 3000 miles, change coolant and dont beat on them..I mention this because there are still many around.. Dodge Dynasty's were bulletproof reliable but only with the 2.5 4cyl,3.3&3.8 V6.. The 3.0 Mitsubishi V6 was the troublemaker and totally unreliable, that even gave the minivans a bad name also! Engines would burn oil and fail with low mileage and weak trans would fail also! The Neon was highly praised,it out handled any little car of the day, better quality, better ride, built better than small cars of the day and it had performance that small cars didn't have! What hurt the Neon was the 1st few model years it had head gasket issues that plagued them..The 2000's versions had a t.i.p.m issue, not all you go 250,000 trouble free miles or you had either a head gasket or tipm, besides those major issues these were great cars..Many people didn't change the timing belt at the recommended service and drove them well past and well they broke down and they didn't fix them and blamed it on the car, when it was the owners neglect! i bet this neon's timing belt failed and its in the scrapper! The Shadow, the 2.2 was a rougher engine but bulletproof the 2.5 was butter smooth!! Shadows were decent riding cars pretty smooth too,I drove a few of them back in the day. The 2.5 Turbo had less turbo lag and would burn the tires from off idle easily..Again easy 300,000 mile engines with oil changes/coolant changes and timing belt changes, cant beat them! I found Chrysler products had better material quality form the 1990's earlier than GM/Ford cars as their interiors held up better, they looked great generally with high mileage vs Ford/GM of the mid 1990's and older.

Randy: You are beyond lucky you didn't pull the paint off when you re-furbished the headlights. Using packaging tape or duct tape is the ABSOLUTE WORST pressure-sensitive tape you could possibly have chosen. Use the 3M Blue Painters Tape !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's made to be used for masking and removal is clean. The UV light from the sun will destroy packaging tape in less than 4 hours. Massive adhesive transfer is the potential end result. Please NEVER use packaging tape or duct tape on any part of a vehicle. Bad, bad and bad.

The early Chrysler 4 speed autos, where usually the reason these cars were scrapped. I did have one rebuilt, with all the upgrades, and it went four more years until we sold it. The 2.5L always seemed to run rough. I went through two head gaskets on my 1990 Dodge Spirit. The 2.4 that came out later was so much better. it too, had a head gasket problem until mid-way through 1999. Also, I was hoping that the 3 speed auto in the same Spirit would be trouble free, but even it died. I replaced it with a used one. The 3.3 was a good engine. Much better than the MMC V-6.

I love the shadows. I've had a couple 3.0 5speeds and they got down. I'd love to find one.

I have a 2005 Dodge Stratus that is the same exact color and highly considering a maaco paint job. Now I know what it might look like in similarity

I paid $1,300 for an '84 Chrysler E-Class and put in a new $1400 air conditioner. Loved that car.

I'd say x10 your initial purchase price. So $2500 would be a fine place to start. Looks like a proper 2008 Avenger that was actually taken care of!
