All 6.4s at auctions have cracked pistons motors are junked. 6.4$ usually last about 150k miles so that truck has served it’s purpose and then some. Cost 20k + to put a motor in that.

It looks like someone died in that rv. That stain on the bed looks like body fluid that is left after someone has died and left for days. Which explains the smell that you was talking about.

My money is that the RV was owned by an elderly person that lived alone and was traveling the country; they likely died in their sleep and was not found for several days until other RV owners around them started noticing the smell of decomposition.

It’s a 6.4 diesel scariest diesel to buy out there. I know a lot of people that have had good luck with them and I know people that have had nightmares with them. That’s a nice truck though barring nothing major wrong and it’s pre def another bonus

2008-2010 Ford Superduty trucks with the 6.4L Powerstroke have a life limit of 150,00-200,000 mi. Significantly less if they have not been carefully maintained. After that the engine needs a rebuild or replacement.

Randy i buy these for 5-6K all the time the engine is what totals it ive owned 26 08 to 10 f250/f350s and all of them have gotten a 5.9 cummins and allison swap them are great trucks once you swap out a few things

@@digitalrailroader the truck is actually pretty nice but the engine is junk. Almost 10k for a re manufactured engine and over 20k for a built killdevil Diesel engine. They’re 150k mile throw away engines that cost way too much.

I got the feeling someone died in that bus camper. If you have ever had the unfortunate encounter finding someone dead after a couple days, well thats what it looks like. Thats also why it says all over damage as that smell aint coming out easy.

the travel trailer was missing the to small recliners in the rear . the sofa and the dinette table make into beds. on the motorhome the rear airbags were dumped. it really didn't look in that bad of shape. I work in the rv industry, things are getting totaled easier because of lack of parts.

No, it is more likely that is got mechanically totaled because it can take tens of thousands of dollars to get one of these 6.4 engines to run correctly. It’s been well documented that these engines were hugely rushed to market to satisfy the 2008 EPA emissions target to which customers, Ford, and Navistar paid the price financially (tens of millions of dollars in warranty costs eaten by Ford and Navistar, millions more in lost wages and out of pocket repair costs for customers) and reputation wise; especially for Navistar who is derided for making junk engines and trucks.

That 2012 Coachmen is a good camper, we have a 12`Coachmen Catalina, and have had zero problems with it, they built them better back then, the new ones are junk. I'm not saying it's built like a house, but definitely better quality than what I've seen in the new ones.

The Mudflap on the Monaco is suspended from short chains, it runs the full width of the body. The dash may have GM parts, ie key switch ect, They are normally powered by 300-400 hp Cat, Cummins or Detroit diesels, automatic trans. They drive like a cloud, you don't get pushed around by passing tractor trailers, fuel mileage 6-8 mpg, oil changes are about $400.00. they are very expensive to maintain.

You want to run as fast as possible from any camper that says water damage. Camper floors are made of plywood and water gets trapped under the tile or vinyl and it stays wet delaminates and rots. Replacing the subfloor often requires removing all the cabinets and if the water came from the roof you could be looking at major repairs there too. I am doing a partial floor replacement on my own camper right now. It isn't super hard, but I am still looking at several hundred in materials and 4-5 days of work just to get it ready for new top flooring.

Randy, I would suggest that you dont buy a camper from copart. I have a cousin who works at an RV dealership in Montana and in his words: “They’re kind of built like crap”. I would just buy new since you can get screwed very easily with rotted walls and floors and it could be a headache.

that Monaco probably needs a new roof reseal if it was running and the fancy airbags suspension airs up and it mechanically ok , a good detail and fix the water damage its easily $33-$40k RV so if you can get it below 20k not too bad

The Coachman travel trailer is the the lower end of the bumper pull travel trailers... they generally start @ the low 20's and go up from there!! The kitchenette generally folds into a bed as well as the couch.... this thing can sleep 5-6!! That Monaco bus rides on an air ride/air bag suspension!! It looks like the bags are deflated and just need to be aired up!! Ive seen those thngs new go for anywhere from $150K- $2mil new.. depending on features like manufacturer, engine, interior features, etc Just be careful with any RV or travel trailer!! Im a delivery driver for UPS and deliver a lot of entry doors to several RV dealers and repair shops here in Ft Worth TX and thieves break into them to steal the TV's, and any other valuables out of them.... destroying/damaging the door in the process!! Replacing the door is not cheap either!! Owning these thing arent cheap!! Also... the previous owners usually will either take the TV with them if its going to auction, being traded in, or sold outright!! Usually.... most come new from factory with a TV!! Another thing... Most (not all) travel trailers and RV's have some sort of a slide out door ar partition for privacy in the main bedroom!!
