G'day Randy, I have been a whitegoods salesman for 38 years. You are perfectly correct about laying down fridges. The oil lays in the bottom of the compressor. When the fridge is laid down this oil runs up into the gas lines. Standing it back up allows the oil to settle back to the bottom of the compressor again. There is a correct and a wrong side to lay the fridge onto.

Always heard that you're not supposed to turn a fridge on its side and especially not to transport it that way ... supposed to be bad for the compressor....I don't know if it's true or not.... maybe for old timey refrigerators.... any thoughts on this?

When you transport a refrigerator you aren't supposed to lay it on it's side. If you do you need to allow the Freon to settle back to the bottom of the system or you could blow the compressor. let it stand a few hours before turning it on.

I bought the same range/stove when remodeled our kitchen. The only thing you’ll probably have to do is calibrate the oven. The center griddle that comes with the range works great.

You're not supposed to transport a fridge on its side, you can cause compressor damage (I learned the hard way) but anyways you should help paint your neighbors little Nissan hardbody pickup. I always see it in the background all two-tone and that would be cool content and a +1 on your "in good" with the neighbors card lol

I used to have that same Dolly and what I did was I went to Harbor Freight and bought a winch mounted on the front of the dolly that way when I was able to hook up a battery to it that pull cars up on the dolly just go buy the cheaper winch I believe they're about 60 bucks they do a perfect job you can mount them right directly just drill two holes in the front of the dolly Monett right on the bar they work perfect

Thomas Smith I wouldn’t say a “modified” Crown Vic. They had a completely different engine. They had the 32V 4.6L out of the Mustang Cobra. This results in about 65 more standard HP. Also, a console shifter, different rear end gears, standard traction control, etc...

Has the Keyhead remote (ford calls them "Integrated Keyhead Transmitter") ever worked since you've had the vehicle? The truck can support 8 ignition keys but only 4 IKT remotes, @ 8:20 the instrument cluster reads "Could not program integrated key", per the owner's manual this means the key in the ignition is key #5 or higher. There are atleast 4 other keys programmed to that truck. Unfortunately, I think you need a dealer scan tool to re move the keys you don't have.

Why should you not lay a refrigerator down? In the normal upright position gravity keeps the oil in the compressor. When we lay the refrigerator flat, some of the oil can leave the compressor and go into the cooling lines. ... If we must lay the fridge down, it is better not to lay it 100% flat, but rather to keep an angle so gravity keeps the oil in the compressor.

My 2011 crown Vic did the same thing. I forget how i fixed it but under the steering wheel close by the key should be a hole. That's the shift interlock. Stick a phillips screwdriver in there and then you can shift into reverse or drive

Do you have a spare fob? If not buy a new one and have the dealer program it since you need two working fobs to program. It could also be the receiver .

Check under the driver side Rubber rug there should be a shift interlock distempered it looks like a bubble That prevents you from shifting it out of gear unless you depress that bubble which releases the lock in the shifter

Randy I must tell you as an almost 30 year veteran of appliance repair that you are incorrect. Just because you have been lucky doesn't make your assumption correct. It isnt about the freon gas getting disturbed. There is actually oil in the compressor that can seep into the capillary line which is a really small tube. If the oil gets in that line it blocks the freon flow and is what's called a plugged system. I'm glad it worked out for you though, but please dont tell people that how you moved it is acceptable because really it's not. Great content my friend. I live watching your videos. Cant wait till your lot is open and running. Gonna be a whole new line of content that I'm sure will be great.

Randy I love crown VICS and because of that I know a couple of things about them with the police version you might have a shift locker if you remember older cars they had the fog light button on the floor lift up the carpet around that general area and you’ll see if you have it or not it’ll look basically like a hockey puck and if you press it it could lock you’re gear selector. Cops put that in so they can leave the car running when they exit the vehicle without fear of it getting stolen. There’s a few videos on KZbin about hidden features you might take a look at some of them

FYI: add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to your dishwasher when operating to keep hard water from clogging the lines. I have that same Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher. It works fantastic, but it is my second one. Hard water destroyed the first one.

I once saw someone dealing this kind of issue with the tow dolly. Deflate both tires, it will lower the height and you can inflate it after car is on it if you have the air pump and it doesn't ruin the tire..lolz silly I know..:)

At 8:21 the DIC said "Could Not Program Integrated Key".. some keys/fobs need to be re-programmed to the vehicle after the battery is replaced. Alot of cars you can insert a key that is already programmed and turn it to ACC for a few seconds, then quickly remove that one and insert the unprogrammed one and do the same thing, then start the vehicle with it and it will program it.. others you have to take to the dealer.. so that could explain why the fob isn't working even though it has a new battery in it.. or maybe the receiver is messed up

Watch out for that fridge. Laying fridges on their side is a bad move. The oil in the motor will drain. Don't turn it on for at least a 72 hours after you stand it back up.

Randy when you first get out of the vehicle put the e-brake on then turn the car off while it's in neutral once it's off put it in park my F-150 is a nightmare when it comes to getting it in gear this is my solution

Hi Randy, I seem to remember that a friend( former police officer) was at my house with a police cruiser and the shifter would not move when he was leaving. He told me there is something under the dash that locks it if someone unauthorized tries to take the car. He was under the dash and after some time it released and off he went.
