Hope y’all enjoy the video! This weekend I’ll be adjusting the ride height, and hopefully next week I’ll be able to get an alignment 🙃 Once again, huge thank you to Swedish Motorsports and Maptun. Be sure to check out their websites in the description for all of your aftermarket Saab needs!

I run the fronts at 9 clicks back from full stiff and rears at 12 clicks back from full stiff with tire pressure at 38psi front and 35 rear. Rides really smooth while still able to handle a turn.

Hi there, Could anyone tell me how & where to adjust the stiff with this Maptun coilover?

"These bolts are pretty messed up" Guess I must be the only one from rust-hell thinking they look just fine and just need their threads cleaned for aluminium oxidation from the strut top mounts 😂 That's like a good condition bolt here 😭 Also I've never stripped an e-torx head, but plenty of hex heads, so OEM quality hardware e-torx heads are great 👌

Quite agree with that. Nothing a wire brush can't fix.

Eh, new hardware only ran me about $20, so I'm not too concerned lol

@@AutoAutopsy that's 20$ more than 0$ 😁

Hell yeah let us know how solid the ride is now! I got the billstein set from esaabparts for like 500 rides like it’s on rails now so smooth.

On my 9-5 I have the original end-link, and on the coils it is set to the bottom instead of the top.. swaybar would grab the chasi if I followed the manual. (they only have a pdf still, for the 9-3)

Quick warning, in the rear if you have spacers they will rub the fender liner mounting area. It protrudes out pretty far and rubs alot with 25mm spacers. All I did was trim the plastic fender, trim the metal, paint the metal and add an EPDM rubber membrane to keep it sealed. An absolute must on these saab with their ugly stance when lowered.
@AutoAutopsy4 жыл бұрын
Definitely won’t be going with spacers that wide. I’m thinking more like 10mm. Thanks 👍🏼

Your videos are really well done and very informative and have helped me a TON, I have watched and subscribed, but I must say out of no disrespect and genuinely just want to help; I would start greasing parts more before you put them in, especially in your climate. Should have put some grease on the suspension components and bolts so they didn't stick and should have put some grease on the new power steering seals you installed in another video. I live in dry climate too, I think it is really important to just put at least light grease on new parts, bolts, bolt threads and seals etc. Just want to help and thanks for your videos.

Also I'd leave the adjustment tool in thr rears other wise you'll have to unbolt them to adjust. Real pain in the ass. It's physically impossible for the tool to pot out on thr road
