FYI - Trucks move on road sections not cities. Only exception is when you initially load a truck it starts from a depot and is then considered to be on any color section that crosses this depot. Also keep in mind that your truck doesn't block other trucks in depots! :)

Great review. I loved my first play of this and think it has the potential to be a classic. I agree with you about the components - I also remember that the first version of Terrforming Mars had some similar problems and was improved drastically by better inserts that locked down the components. Here's hoping for some improvements in future printings.

Honestly, I was drawn in by the crummy components. I see so many kickstarters that flaunt fancy wooden pieces and miniatures with mediocre (and sometimes less than mediocre) mechanics that I’ve taken excellent components as an indicator that the publisher is compensation for something. While that isn’t always true, it figures that a game that lacks the eye-catching cover must be doing something else right.

@@theperfectboardgame It is more about thoughtful components. While a few flashy bits are great here and there (I paid about $20 more than I should have for Weather Machine just to get ahold of the engraved metal Nobel Prize, since I was off by one day on when the KS was ending), if the ENTIRE GAME is fancy bits, there's probably an issue. For instance, Azul's player 'boards' are garbage... but you don't really touch the boards often. The things you touch and handle constantly, the tiles themselves, are high-quality. And they don't move around too much on a table hit, because they're heavy-ish. Meanwhile, TFM has terrible player boards, and accidentally knocking the table leg while playing sends the entire game into orbit.

The disalignment of the hands on the big picture and small picture really throws me off, I cannot focus on the rules when you seemingly have 4 hands. I had to stop 3 minutes in
