15 min quick charge to 84% Not 30 min. I travel regionally with mine. It is a very comfortable car. Handles well, rides well. It has the sun and fun sun roof option which really makes the car special. I have put 3000 miles on the car in the last 3 months.

Depends on average driving speeds, out side temperatures and other factors. The advertised 94 miles is a good average. But real world tests in CA, at 60 mph on flat freeway, at 60 degrees temp, show that the car goes 100 miles before going to turtle mode. I have seen 106 on the guess o meter gauge in summer in Oregon.

@TEC Man I have a 2018 Soul EV now and there is no loss of range that I am aware of. It has 31000 on it. I sold the 2016 Soul EV in 2018. It was doing well at that time.

Hi great video...i have a question...could i bother you please? I have a kia 2016 ev 27 kv...a year ago my range was 106 miles on the dial...after a year its was suddenly goinf down to 96 and now 88 miles. Any idea why?

Kia has really bad battery degradation. You are better off not fast charging.

93 miles is higher than the 2016 focus electric, smart four2, Chevy spark and most other pure electrics. If you can wait a few months for the Chevy Bolt, that's probably your best bet.

yah. I own a fiat 500 e. it's been the biggest mistake I've ever made. it is an unreliable pos. has left me stranded many times. it's less than 6 months old. I still love electric cars but this one is a lemon. that's why I'm filing lemon law. after this I'm going with kia. I have owned 4 in the past 6 years and all have been flawlessly reliable.

JustWasted3HoursHere wow I almost forgot about this old post. I lemon lawed it in early 2016. No if I ever ran out of charge it would have been my fault not the car. The car would go into limp mode saying motor fault. If I turned it off for about 15 mins sometimes it would work again. A couple times it didn’t and needed a tow. Also charging system went out when I was out and trying to charge. Another tow. Occasionally it would refuse to go into any gear. I’m sure many are happy with their 500e. I got a lemon. When everything worked it was a fun car.

@@daniels7862 Did you buy it new or used? If new, I would think that they'd have to swap you for another one due to lemon laws. But, yeah, it seems this one might have been a "bad egg", as other people I've seen have their's for several years with no issues.

Since you didn't talk about the 2016 Nissan Leaf...let me just say it's been around longer and has a better driving range than the Kia. I think the dependability is there with Nissan. I would put my $ on the Leaf anyday over the others you mentioned. I think your presentation is biased since you didn't mention the complete range of competition.

The current gen Leaf looks like a Frog. The range on this is pathetic. Once these come off lease the resale is going to be nearly as bad as the Leaf. AKA don't buy a new one.

@@Coyotedan12 Got mine this year 2016 it was $15,000 and I love it. Thank goodness for depreciation. Brand new battery high voltage+ 12-volt battery to. Thanks to Kia's hundred thousand mile replacement plan. Perfect for me I never leave out of town.
