I don't know what amazed me more - that someone can let their car get that bad or the transformation you did to it. Wow! Amazing turnaround Heather! I am sure you have heard or tried already, but I have found that Bilt Hamber's Glass Cleaner 'Trace-Less' is the best glass cleaner I have ever tried, it's incredible. Also, when I vacuum or use hard plastic attachments for cleaning the interior I find that putting a few socks on the tube stops scratching and saves you having to hold it away from the door shuts etc... Cheers, Graham.

Love the stearingwheel job. In my opinion it's an overlooked refreshment of the car. I helped to polish my neighbours Subaru yesterday. I didn't have time to "go inside", but I did the stearingwheel and the gearliver. He was stunned about the amount of dirt that was lifted. I use an Italian product called Fenice (cleaner and balm).

Crazy cool. Wow. I got a backache just watching you detail interior. One thing I've noticed on new or newer vehicles is that the carpeting is extremely cheap. I don't even know if it qualifies as carpeting. The super tight nap and weave is hard to work with. It's just more work on a tough job already. Ok. 2 pills for my sore back, and here's 2 for you. Thanks for video Heather.

A very comprehensive clean giving a fantastic result. It is not my favourite job but now and again I am in the mood and try to rid my car of white Jack Russel dog hair and sand if we have been up North to our holiday getaway on the Moray-firth. We are not long back and I have started the process of cleaning the car. The outside is clean but I want to change my car wax so I will be doing a strip wash and chemical decontamination prior to pre wax cleaner and sealant and wax before I tackle the interior. I too am using the GT interior cleaner presently but finishing with Mitchell & King Treat I just wish it would stop raining.

Heather can you recommend a good snow foam that won't strip wax
@AutoCareHQ4 ай бұрын
Most snow foams shouldn't strip wax unless it's a really weak one in terms of durability. My favourite snow foam is Squid Ink Alkafroth which shouldn't strip protection (unless it's really weak). You could always go down the pH neutral route (Yum Foam/ Stjarnagloss Sno are good options), but just make sure it's removing enough dirt for the contact wash

Stumbled across your channel a little while ago, just getting into looking after my car properly! Thank you for all your excellent advice, already bought the IK Foamer and sprayer you suggested in another video, used them both today and found them really good!! Can I ask you when and why I would need to use a clay bar, have you done a video on this? My car sits in Dover docks so is subject to a lot of pollution, salt air, diesel fumes etc, and the seagulls are a nightmare!! Although it is only 2 years old, I’m sure the paintwork could be a bit more slick, is that the time I should be looking to clay? Sorry, bit off topic for this video, but would be grateful of your advice.

Snap! with the drill, good old Black & Decker. Finding it hard to squeeze and interior detail in to an hour/hour and a half. Any tips Heather? Or am I just being over ambitious
@AutoCareHQ4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! It depends on the condition to be honest. If it’s just a maintenance detail then an hour would be fine but if it needs a deep clean then I usually spend 3 hours minimum for a car like this
@Xinese-z4k4 ай бұрын
If you have a good compressor a tornador gun or similar could be a big time saver for carpets. One thing cheap i use is the turbo nozzle with vaccuum cleaner. Cleans mats very easy and faster.

I don't know how people can let their cars get into that condition. Hopefully their houses aren't the same.😮 Something I think might be helpful to your 'mentees' is if you could give some idea how long each vehicle took to clean (excluding your time spent setting up and repositioning your video equipment)😊
