I own Citreon eC3(Top Variant) and along with Petrol Hyundai Grant i10 Asta(O) (Top Variant ) .. Now I had 6000 kms plus drive in my EV .. Had Highway Trip to Bangalore .. Single day 450 KM .. acheived Highway millage of about 250 Km to 280 Km per charge on Eco Mode with full load (5 adult and 3 kids and boot space full of heavy lagguage ) Ac and Music system , chageing of phone on my 8 hours plus Journey . Fast Charge Power delivery nearly 38kw .. quick 40 mins 20 to 90 plus percent reached. Comfort in Top Notch .. Suspension was very premiem and steering control view of road and ease drive is wow.. for me .. I excepted some Cross SUV type of Car over Hatchback for funky look..for second car. I am happy with my choice

On Ride And Charging Tigor EV owner complaint lot about the car just 26kw or less 1.7 plus lakhs more on road and he says his suspension other think we're not good. Tiago is small hatchback like Hyundai grant i10 Asta(O).. need SUV type funky look for 2nd car in Home. During Fast Charge power delivery in Tigor EV is less than Citreon eC3 ev..

The battery will be shot dead because of air cooling. Look at the state of Leaf EVs in the west with their air cooled batteries.

Tiago should be a no brainer between these two. It's better than the citron in almost all departments. It is more powerful, it has plethora of features where the citron's equipment list is lesser than even a 5 lakhs car in India, Tiago has more warranty, it is more refined..and on top it's cheaper too. What more do you want? If anyone wants a bigger EV, they should spend more money and get the Nexon. The citron is heavily over priced. It doesn't even have alloy wheels as standard. I mean seriously? What is the company even thinking?

Forget the alloy wheels, EVs have plastic covers supposedly for aero & efficiency. But with the Citroen, I don't think that's the case. It's to suit the cheap nature of the car. What I cannot fathom is why would anyone put manual mirrors in a car that runs on a battery. I mean, how much money are they saving by skipping out on electronically adjustable mirrors? For a car that's well above 11 lakh rupees! It's as if the car's features were decided in two rounds. First round by people who have sat inside a few modern cars. Second round by anachronistic cheapskates with the singular aim of cutting costs. They have kept the 10" infotainment screen alongside the most pathetic looking speedo cluster. Wireless Android Auto & Carplay but manual AC. Zero cohesion. If and when the team of morons who made these decisions are fired, I'll be a happy man.

If you say that Citroen cars are gonna impress those car enthusiasts who are well enough to spare cash on a second car even if it's features list is barren, then many Mumbaikars should have bought it. The thing is that there is negligible customer satisfaction. You are always gonna regret your puchase seeing others drive a much more convenient car for almost the same price.

I think they overshot the budget for the dash with just the 10" infotainment screen. Literally everything other than the screen is cheap af. Instead of having a full steering wheel, they could've cut it in half, claiming it as an inspiration from the Tesla Model S' yoke but secretly saving 14 Rs of plastic and threads.

For me, the 5 years warranty on the motor of the ec3 is a deal breaker, whereas tata gives 8 years on both battery and motor

Tata Tiago EV has auto climate control, cruise control, reverse camera, rear wiper, sports mode drive, very informative driver display and above all, adjustable regen levels for different driving conditions of ev cars. Citroen doesn't have any of these.

Citreon for sure, focused on features required than wanted.. I have taken test drive, it feels way more premium to drive and the seat comfort plus suspension is 40% better then Maruti suzuki BALENO(coz I have it) The main thing, it doesn’t looks like a commercial vehicle. I mean its a good urban car!

Tiago EV is a no brainer for me. The only department it falls behind is look wise and probably in terms of suspension capability. Otherwise, its cheaper(starting range) and I would anyday trust a local brand while considering an unconventional vehicle choice so that I get easily accessible showrooms and parts for repairing

I own a Tiago Ev, range is way beyond 187kms. I easily get 200kms with daily 140 km highway driving.

Not just the duration of warranty, the policies are also starkly different. citroen doesn't cover water entry and deep discharge while tata does. Also on side note, citroen enabled 38kW fast charge via update whereas tiago only does 18kW.

2 things: 1. Reverse camera and alloys are available as accessories on the eC3. 2. eC3 should be compared with XUV400 and Nexon rather than the much much smaller Tiago. The eC3 will feel more value for money when comparing with compact SUV/crossover cars from its segment rather than with a small hatchback. All that Tiago is offering is features. It has much lesser cabin and boot space, lesser range and no spare wheel too.

I completely disagree to the overall range. You cannot actually predict the range of any EV. The claimed ones are tested under some condition laid by ARAI. However, the actual range depends on how you drive . I have Tigor EV and range I m getting is between 230 km to 265 km. So I would recommend to showcase the features, regen modes, etc. I think what Tata need to improve is on fixing rattling issues on IP and interior trims, which occur over a period of time. Citroen needs to improve the practicality on instument cluster side. Its a basic cluster which doesn't gives any relevant info. If you have battery % then it doesnt show range, and vice versa. I have driven this car long back, but don't know they have really improved it. Rest all is a good review. 👍🏻

Whats the most surprising is the vibrations in the Citroen... seems like a bad motor. May be a manufacturing defect. Otherwise the motor won't last very long. Other thing is Autocad shouldn't have charged to 100% on a DC charger and spent more time doing the charging curve test for both cars.

Citroen is known for its quality and less electronics means less maintainance. I feel probably first time buyes get fascinated by features.

ngl I have a eC3 is for that price the comfort that it offers is unmatched, the looks are killer not even a comparison and tbh the practicality the boot space given by the eC3 , also its more fun to drive even if the power is linear you can feel it pretty good(yes I have driven both)

Service centre network is important for EVs than ICE. Though scheduled service is done less frequent, issues and niggles will happen in EVs. A common one is vehicle getting an error due to improper communication from fast charger and vehicle wont shift to Drive mode. This can be easily cleared by service centre laptop clearing the error code via obd2 port. But without service network this will be an issue

So interesting facts about ec3 1) The magic carpet like ride in petrol versions does not exists in Electric version (?) 2) You sit Knees up in second row like you do it in 3rd usually ( Amazing) 3) Being Electric car it makes noise at slow speeds ( Ivtec engine being petrol in itself does not make Noise !!)

I had seen Citroen on the road but seeing the battery fitted under it, I lost faith in the ec3, they are saying(Citroen) that it is futuristic and ready for the e platform, but when I saw it from the side, it looked like a side fitted battery on the car and you can'd ignore the proportion of the car.

Experts say Hydrogen and Fuel cells are a technological dead-end. They are far less efficient than direct electric traction from batteries (or overhead lines in case of locomotives and trains). The bottleneck has always been the capacity and charging times for batteries, as since ICE engines ruled the roads for over a hundred years, battery tech for EVs never got the attention it deserved after its introduction in the late 19th century. Now with companies across the world moving to EVs in a major way and big investments flowing into battery tech it is only a matter of time before EVs take over.

@@anirudh64 You make it sound like Mirai's the only option...New Technology takes time to scale and eventually at one point of time, H2 and Liquid H2 will become viable and gain mainstream traction in the future...at that time, companies will launch affordable vehicles in the segment , with prices on par with existing IC Engine vehicles

I am okay with less features, as long as I get good ride and built quality bigger car in affordable prices. Boot space/interior space, suspension is so good In Citron and I'm satisfied with performance of the car. Build quality is also good, door has weight and plastic quality is also good for the car of its price. To sum up you get modern comfortable car with good built quality and normal features which meets day to day driving at a affordable price range.

I think the citroen is geared taller than the Tiago.. that's why it's has the same consumption per km as the Tiago and is slower than the Tiago even though it has higher torque.

There are no gears in ev..just the motor ...Just 1 gear all the way... 57bhp vs 74 bhp..however the consumption of electricity by these motors are very similar from 50-140bhp

Yes. I know... but that single gear ratio can be low or high which determines how much is the torque at the wheel. It feels like citroen has given a lower quality motor since it vibrates and cannot revv as high as the Tiago's, that's why it's been geared taller and hence is slower in acceleration despite having higher torque.

Different customers value different things.i do value range and ride quality. Ec3 have better ride quality. We brought ec3 shine at around 14.5 lakh which have rear camera and adjustable mirror. I test drove both punch and xter, and both have substandard ride quality. I think people buying punch or xter would be first time car buyers.

@@neethumk8003 can't say much about service as I haven't had any issues with my car. Expect range to be 230 +/- 10 km. One con I would say is the light suspension which gives the rocky motion when you drive through gutter filled roads. So if you already have a VW or toyota, you are not going to be impressed with ec3.

Who would have thought an Indian company with noisy motors would eclipse a reputable global brand like citreon in terms of refinement and features in Ev space? Tata has come a long way. Hope they could replicate this in petrol versions.

It’s not even a contest. eC3 looks more like a Test mule afterthought put out in the market to manage C.A.F.E. Targets. Tiago.Ev is matured hatchback product. It may would’ve been a competition if eC3 was a better product and if there was Punch EV too.

@@tharunjayakumar256 I don't really think it'll be a success in India. The campervan niche in India is still very small. And if this came to India, it would most likely be as a CBU and it would cost a lot. Which does not work for the Volkswagen brand here

Biggest problem wjth auto car india is the failure to mention peak charging rate in every single EV review Its like All the reviewers are stuck in the ICE age. Unable to understand the importance of charging curve to any user. Please grow up and start mentioning the actual charging curve rathee than talking like a tata sales person who says "0-92% charge in 53 minutes" . That statement has no meaning and is completely pointless

Deal breaker is - 1. Liquid cooling tech for its battery pack ( very much needed for our hot conditions) 2. Battery technology ( LFP vs NMC ), which will result difference in battery life. 3. Warrenty on battery & sply with MOTOR warrenty 3y vs 5y.

Even though some aspects good on paper but it appears risky to buy Citreon, it proved beyond doubts that Stellantis has best vehicles in the world but it won't sell due to arrogance and/or market ignorance of the company. However good the car is useless when no service and spares avaialbale. Stellantis (Owner of Citreon) has a habit of closing down operations suddenly. Ex. Fiat. Also jeep is not doing well. If citreon really want to sell cars in india it would have launched with minimum required features and performance in that price segement such as Auto A/C, electric mirror adjust, convenient switches for central operation of door locking and windows. Auto Transmission(ICE engine), better power. Now a days even motorcycles provide better MID than Citreon eC3.
