ok...speed... that's what u r talking about !... iam not a speed freak , neither do i want to overtake anyone so urgently . iam driving nano since from the last 6 months and I am hqppy with this car . it's elegent to drive . love the way it handles itself . this car don,t pull me.....it pushes me in some rough hilly areas . and thanked god ...it saved me several time . iam a fan of tata nano...for it,s build quality , slow speed and great balancing . mr.ratan tata gave us a fantastic four wheel . thank you sir......for this wonderful car . dil hamesha bole - luv u !!!

The most likeable part in nano for me thats not in other car is its seat position it gave lot of ease to drive than other lowed car seats

The nano needs a bigger engine, disc brakes up front, a dashboard that's conventional, headlights that are some what sideways and optional safety features like ABS and Airbags it would cater to a wider audience and I think the Pelican project should address these minor irritants of the nano Personally I love the nano it's make in india in its truest sense pride for india 👍

Bought 2008 nano base variant without A/C for 1 lack still now it is running well without any problems milate 17km in city still now we didn’t take it to highway

Nice comparison but you did not mention 60-0 and 100-0 distance You guys have to start educating India on the reasons of accidents in India People don't realize how much gao they need to keep from the front car to be sure to stop before banging!!

Have done 96k+ kms in my 2012 nano. Should reach 1lakh in couple of months. Any one done more than 1lakh please share.

Well it might take to reach a good 37 seconds to 100 but 0-60 or even till 80 nano's acceleration is quite commendable and way better than it's competition

Finally a no nonsense car in the market...Yes, am vouching for the Nano. there can be nothing better at the moment given the updates that Tata has incorporated in it. I am not going to say that everyone should accept it as the best car as it all depends on your personal need and choice...but, one must RESPECT the vision and persistence of Tata in continuing to invest in a car that has entered the history books as a marketing blunder by now. If any other car maker would have had to go through what Tata had endured since 2009, they surely would have buried the concept of Nano under the carpet like it never existed. A lot has been has been said but much less done from the consumers' side to support Tata in their endeavour to make an 'affordable' car (NOT Cheap) for everyone. If one thinks Nano is a cheap car then I dare say Maruti Alto and 800 are ever cheaper as every body has one or can buy one...there is nothing special in it..forget respect and neighbour's envy. I would happily buy two Nano's for the family rather than buying a blunt looking overpriced hatchback or a sedan...enough said..!!

Please don't let others decide for you...If you ask around, people will sure bombard with you their own version of reality. At the end, its you and you alone who would make the move..Remember opinions come free...the money out of YOUR pocket doesn't. As far as my opinion goes ..ahem...I'll stick to the Nano (provided you have personally took test rides in each and every vehicle that you have selected as an option). I am not on Tata's payroll. They will not give me a free car if you buy a Nano post reading my comments. Go with your heart. By the way, if you are married...you need not ask anybody...lol

+Frank Rock Yes, Tata was one of the BEST selling companies in India and also if the Nano wasn't there, today it would be the leader of Indian market with Ultimate cars like Aria (Best crossover), Zest(Best Compact Sedan), Safari Storme ('Daddy'?, forget it, too English to call it Daddy. In our way! Baap of all SUV's!), Bolt (One of the Best Hatches), Nano (Best Compact Hatch), Manza (Best Sedan considering it's time) and also upcoming Hexa (Baap of the baap, Safari), Sway (Will be better than Zest!), Nexon (Best Compact SUV)

i can only assume the alto will be more reliable. the bigger engine with more power,better ride,and a more comfortable seat will be something you realy wish you had in the future .a car that handles better is safer. the alto in my opinion looks better as well.

All Indian who are vouching for Nano will get Alto when given the choice proving their hypocrisy as usual. Indians buy car not only for necessity but also as a status symbol. Nano as a small and efficient car would be hit in many region worldwide because of cost, ease in parking, fuel economy in cities. Tata should have marketed this car wisely emphasizing its advantages mentioned above, instead of marketing it a people's car of India.

tata nano is cheap and nice but the problem maybe its bad for long drive and speed segments so i better stick suzuki with avoided crush mode.There are alot diferrence between car in india than other country.

yes nano has not good resale value but the people who thinks that nano is for lower class so they are wrong have wrong mentality of show-off don't want to accept innovation it's a have a better space than alto or other awesome pickup and milage good turning radious I have mercedes a class bmw and Volvo but I prefer nano in city especially

I am a Tata Safari owner since 2013. It has been the worst mistake I have made in my life. The vehicle has been to the workshop over 50 times in less than 30 months with repairs under warranty to the tune of Rs 2 lacs. I must have lost my sanity temporarily when I chose to buy this car. I would not recommend this car to even my worst enemy. After sale service is pathetic as well. STAY AWAY. PERIOD!

y nano? easy traffic movement, good boot space, tremendous fuel efficiency, means lot i save in city traffic, plus lower maintenance, and again I don't care much if there are dents or hits on my car as its sooo pocket friendly!!! biggest thing i get ac, wind cheater, rain cheater, heat cheater which my bike cannot provide!! nano is a substitute for bikes not for cars although am happy now it has entered car segment and taken seriously in automobile industry!! best gift from tata to Indians

Nano has enough pickup in manual mode if u are driving 2 with AC. It doesn't lag much at stops. Ist gear is little slow but 2nd and 3rd are the power gears in manual XT version. Power steering is excellent, due to high seats and lesser length and 4m driving radius it's a fun to drive car even on highways. In city due to compact size it's easy to maneuver in traffic as well as park at tight parking spots

As the car has a Boot and the new infinity grill it seems to be 'Tata GenX nano' andnot 'Tata nano'. Is it 'Tata GenX Nano Twist AMT(XTA or XMA)'?? what is the actual name of this model?? does the 'tata nano' offer an AMT version ??

Nano's ,mileage in city is 12.1? And Alto's is 12.3? Even Ciaz has 12.9! Nano has 19+kpl in city also and 30.95 in highway

I have a GenX nano and it gives me 32.7 km/l with optimum driving AI fitted by Tata. Ask the dealers for NANO AI Meron 11X system .It costs just ₹12,786 to fit the Tata designed AI system . It's only for the XT variant .

no comparison between both car "accept both are tin-cans😝" not safe for highway better for daily little city commutes.. . but it would be interesting if tata gives 800cc CNG engine... I like nano's tall driving position and broad cabin space.. but with engine of alto "CNG 800" it would be great..😎

Engine sound and vibration in silencer is annoying in nano. If they improve engine cc as u said nano will surely be the clear winner

You got to be kidding me about the acceleration!! Its like crawling not driving! Thanks but no thanks. The Maruti is more expensive but offers more. Prices are interesting if you calculate in Euro. 2.89 * 1700 ~ 4913€ 3,95 * 1700 ~ 6715€

It's for the automatic transmission for both the Nano and Alto K10. Manual transmission gives around 20 city driving

12.1 kmpl ..... seriously..... the manual nano gave me 25 kmpl with 50000 KMS in 2.5 years..... have tested it nearly on each type of road.... K10 no space... less ride height.... just revvs a lot bakwas review.....
