Gotta hand it to Mahindra, they delivered way beyond expectations and have set a new benchmark for the industry. But I really wish it didn't have so much gloss black cladding for the exterior, it just tips over the balance for form over function.

Apply carbon fibre car wrap in it, it will look better also and no issues of scratches.
@RadialSeeker113Ай бұрын
My 2 biggest criticisms are : 1. Removing most of the buttons and crucial buttons to the touch screen is actually much worse for driver interaction. Having to look away from the road to interact with these functions is generally worse for usability and safety. 2. The touch screen interface is still quite laggy. If theyre putting everything on a screen it should be slick and fast like peoples phones. Laggy animations, frequent bugs and crashes and potentially locking you out of important functions if it does fail. The XUV700 while being a great car, has been quite a nightmare for most owners and doesnt leave you feeling very confident about this.

The design of 9e has definitely grown on me more so in comparison with 6e when both were revealed few days back. Here are my observations on 9e 1. Design good, large and I like it much more than Curvv EV 2. Interior is good, again i will prefer it more than 6e and way more than Curvv, where TATA simply copy pasted the Nexon EV's interior 3. Good that they have a powerful motor, making it quick. 4. Handling few are saying is good for its size, again I dont think it will be in a league of Sedans or C segment SUVs like Kushaq, Taigun, Seltos, because they are much lighter but at least the battery underneath will help in limiting body roll due to low center of gravity. 5. Back seat space looks good, and its not as bad as some other EV where you sit in knees up position. Somethings which I dont like 1. Visible passenger screen, will be very distracting. 2. Interior camera, while the driver monitoring is important and I get it why Mahindra would since many so called Chhapris have abused the ADAS system of XUV700, it still might pose privacy issue. Tesla was criticized for collecting users images and videos of their drive. 3. Lots of tech, basically they have thrown kitchen sink at it, and long term reliability might be an issue. Tesla which is perceived as a tech company first themselves have multiple tech related issues. Besides flash value is something which users use once and forget later. I would more prefer slightly simpler car and be more reliable. Again I am not talking things like ADAS or 360, they are great to have features, I am talking about things like dancing lights, lights on sunroof, etc. 4. Removal of AC controls, not sure why manufacturers can't learn from other's mistake. 5. Rear center headrest should have been smaller. Otherwise if they have already given it so much tech, better give it a top mounted view camera like Range Rovers. Magnite also comes with it if I am not wrong. 6. White color seats look brilliant but would be nightmare to maintain, plus it doesn't fit well with olive color surrounds. Again my personal take on it. some may like it as well. I hope these vehicles do well, specially to alleviate the EV charging network in India.

_"How much screen do you want?"_ *"Yes."* Jokes aside, the car looks awesome. It has aggressive and muscular looks and looks designed for the future, some kind of an anti-retro design. But the roof tapering sharply at the back is a def issue esp for the driver. Removing it will take away the aggressive looks, keeping it will keep the issue alive. Also having no physical buttons could be a possible issue for the driver because while driving the fingers do sometimes tend to slip at the screen esp during jerks. I have myself a few times accidently touched the walking option instead of the driving option on GPS and then the sudden increase in ETA has stunned me before realizing the slip-up. But nevertheless, this is a fantastic beginning by Mahindra in EVs (even though they probably already have some offerings there). Mahindra has a real solid chance here to rapidly gain market share here. All the best.
